You

My powers rush out of me, tearing at Sylus, starving for his powers to claim and control it.

He screams, his eyes wide.

It hurts him, but I can't stop!

»Hahahaha! Yeees! Yes, that's it, my little Dove! Take it! Take all of it! Use it!«

I ignore the bastard next to us, only concentrated on the man in front of me.

My man...

My anger is rising again, building into an all consuming rage.

This will not happen!

I refuse to let that happen!

I pull at the invisible power that came out of me to force it back, away from Sylus.

I take control!

But it's already too late.

I see the red-black shadows shooting out of him, out of every pore.

Towards me.

But this time it is not him who sends them, it's me who takes them.

They swirl around me, covering me, carassing me...

I savour the feeling, love the way they coat me like a velvet duvet out of silk.

Everything is dark around me and I can't see Sylus or Magnus anymore. The whole room is gone.

Only blackness with red shimmering threads around me.

It looks so beautiful that time stops for me for a second and I almost forget where I am or what is actually going on.

Almost.

The anger comes back with a roar.

»Use it!«

I flinch at the voice inside of me.

Was that...the aethercore?!

»USE IT!«

The voice becomes louder, more urgent.

And I instinctively know what to do.

I take control of the shadows and break the chains around my body.

They literally explode in thousand metallic shards and splinters.

The shadows give way for me to finally see the room again.

The power I posses is humming and vibrating inside of me, agreeing with my rage.

I see Sylus, breathing heavily, looking exhausted.

But his eyes are still on me with concern.

There's no need for that.

I stand up slowly.

»Oooh, this is so much better than I thought! Get me my aethercore, now!«

I turn to the unhinged man on my left and look at him with cold eyes, the shadows whirling around me.

»I won't get you anything but your own death, bastard...«

I don't even recognize my voice.

It's like some strange entity overtook my body.

I'm on autopilot, but at the same time I know exactly what I'm doing and I have full control.

And I'll use it.

I let the shadows explode around us, careful to not hit Sylus with them.

The glas cage shatters just like my chains before.

»No...No, no, no, no, no! That was not supposed to happen!«

Magnus seems to panic and looks around him in search of anything to help him.

But there is nothing.

»Guess your invention had some kind of malfunction...«, I say sarcastically.

I sound just like...

Sylus!

»That's impossible!«, the pathetic man breaths in disbelieve.

»Apperantly, it is absolutely possible.«

I don't waste any more time and grab the man around his throat with the shadows and throw him against the wall.
