I wait for her outburst to come to an end.
And I really wasn't expecting her last question.

So, she does feel the same way...

I can't say anything for a moment.

When she rejected me a few hours ago, something snapped in place inside of me. I told myself I have to stop with this bullshit.

The only thing important to me is her aethercore.

Nothing else.

It has to be.

So, I treated her the way I should have treated her from the beginning.

Indifferent.

Cold.

And I wanted to resonate with her tomorrow.

But she showed up again and just asked me all those questions I don't know how to respond to...

But I'll try my best to stay as calm and indifferent as possible.

»A lot of questions, as always.«

I look her straight in the eyes without showing any emotion.

»I planned on resonating with you tomorrow. I wanted you to relax and have a little fun first, though that didn't turn out that successful after tonight. Another aethercore means even more power. So, of course I'm trying to lay my hands on that one, too. The crow you've met is Mephisto. He's my personal assistent, to say it the easy way. He had some disfunction, so you didn't see him earlier. Yes, you can go home if you want to, I would let you go. But then your chance of getting rid of your issue is gone for good. And, about your last question...«

I hesitate for a moment, but I made up my mind.

»I don't know. We met for the first time a few days ago. It's a lot for you to take in these days and you're just attracted to a stranger. That can happen some times. Don't take it for something special, kitten. It doesn't mean anything.«

Liar! You fucking liar!

She stares at me with an expression I can't decipher.

»Thank you.«, is all she says before she stands up from the chair and leaves the room in a fast pace.

I sigh and run my hand over my face and through my hair.

Hell, this girl drives me crazy.

It's so fucking hard not to touch her when she's around...

Her scent, her voice, her eyes...

She's so damn captivating and it takes all my willpower to stick to my plan and not take her in my arms to show her what heaven feels like...

If I want resonating to be successful, I mustn't scare her off by overstepping every goddamn line there is.
She's not ready for me and maybe she'll never be...

Gods, I really hope she will be one day...I need to taste her, feel her, claim her!

But for now I need to stay away as much as possible and focus on the real task.

Tomorrow night we will see how much power the little kitten can grant me with her heart's aethercore...
