It's been six months since we defeated Magnus and Dr. Corvin.

Onychinus was able to find his employees and handle them.

EVER is no more.

I went back to the hunters association and we even managed to make a deal between Onychinus and them, which means we're working together in a way.

And the absolute best part of all is that I'm not at risk to die from the aethercore.

The self healing powers I got from Sylus prevent it from damaging my heart.

Sylus found a new doctor who made more tests with me and my health status never looked better.

I'm as safe as I can be.

And happier than ever.

I even met Philip, Sylus's foster dad.

He's so adorable!

And he likes me a lot, just like Sylus had suspected.

My mom has a room in Sylus's mansion, too. Which means I can see her everyday, for as long as I want and she has the best medical care she could get.

Today, Sylus wants to show me something.

I'm just done with a mission outside of Linkon City and straight fall onto the sofa in my appartment.

My phone rings.

»Hey.«, I greet him when I see his name on the screen and answer.

»How was your mission, Sweetie?«

»Exhausting, but we managed to clear the area.«

»Good. Ready for your surprise?«

»Yes. I'm excited to see what you have up your sleeve.«

He chuckles.

»It's a little too big to hide it there.«, he states jokingly.

»Come outside. I'm waiting in the car.«

»Got it. Give me two minutes.«, I say and end the call.

I jump up and get ready to meet Sylus.

When I climb in the car, he immediately grabs my nape and pulls me close to kiss me without hesitation.

»So, what's the surprise?«, I ask impatiently when I lean back again and put on my seat belt.

»You have to wait 'til we're there.«

I pout at him.

»Alright. But I'm so curious!«

»I know, Sweetie. Nothing new to me. I'm used to it.«

I roll my eyes but smile.

Five minutes later we arrive on a driveway in front of a big mansion in Linkon City.

»What is this? Are we visiting someone?«, I ask confused.

»Not quite.«

He gets out of the car and opens my door, holding a hand to me to get out as well.

I grab it and let him help me, while I'm staring at the beautiful building.

He leads me to the entrance and types a code on the panel.

The door opens with a beep and we enter the massive building.

We go through every room and I can't hold back my excitement when we come back to the entrance hall.

»Wow! It's beautiful. Modern with the charme of an old castle. Just like yours!«

»Maybe because this is mine, too. And yours.«

I gape at him with my mouth wide open.

»What?!«

»I bought it for you. For us.«

I blink a few times.

»But...Why?«

»Your apartment is not enough for the both of us. And I know you don't want to move to the N109 zone completely. And...«

He pauses and looks a little nervous.

I've never seen this man nervous...

»Sylus?«, I ask, now getting nervous too.

He clears his throat.

»I actually wanted to wait for tonight, but I can't wait any longer...«
