SylusWhat in all hells is wrong with me?! Why did I tell her this?
Because I couldn't fight the urge to let her know.
I wanted her to know.
I needed her to know.
But now I need to get back on track so I can go on with my mission.
I silently lead her out of the building. My motorcycle is always standing in front of the entrance for me.
At least Luke and Kieran did their job this time...
But as soon as I'm standing in front of it, my little kitten stops moving a few steps away.
»Wait. Don't tell me you're planning to ride on that deathtrap. With me?!«
»That is precisely what I'm going to do. With you.«
I take the helmet that is meant for her and hold it in her direction.
»Uh-uh. No. No way. I'm not climbing on that thing. Forget it.«
I roll my eyes in annoyance and step in front of her. Without any remorse I put the helmet over her head.
»Stop complaining. Stop whining. Stop disobeying. Do as I say. You know I can make you do it at any time.«
I turn around and swing my leg over the seat. And then I wait for her to come sit behind my back. But, of course, she's just standing at the exact same spot and crosses her arms.
»Those things are way too fast, Sylus! And I bet every single coin I have on my bank account that you most certainly won't go slow.«
I don't argue anymore, I act.
My shadows grab her around the waist and pull her to sit behind my back.
She gasps in surprise by the sudden movement, although it is by far not the first time for her.»Sylus, stop doing this shit! Don't treat my like a sack of potatoes you can pull and push around like you wish!«
»Then stop ignoring me and do as I say.«
I place her arms firmly around my waist.
»Hold on tight, Sweetie. Cause you're right. I'm not going slow.«
With a roar of the engine I drive onto the road, not without a high-pitched scream coming from right behind me.
But for the first time since I've known her, she's doing as she's been told.
She's clinging to my body for dear life...»For fucks sake, Sylus...No matter if you can get killed or not...I am going to kill you for this...uuuAAARGH!«
I grin secretly when I hear her words but right after that feel her trembling thighs pressing against mine when I lean into a curve.
»Save your energy for something that's worth the effort, Sweetie.«
»Killing you is worth the effort, bastard!«
I have to admit I like her calling me that. It brings more spice in our conversations. Although she's spice enough...
»We both know it's not. But you don't have to worry any longer, we're there.«
I park the bike in front of a shady building I know too well.
»Thank god.«
