"My sweetie, I have got both kinds of love times two
And baby, you know I keep it nice and warm to satisfy."The music came through the speaker and I nodded my head along to the music, the beat continuing as the lyrics faded out.
"Shits fire," Jared said as he exhaled the smoke from the blunt, and got some murmurs of agreement making me roll my eyes.
Bunch of yes men.
"But ain't ya ass on vacation? Why you still making music?"
"You know I can't leave this shit," I said while saving the song to my computer, when I was done closing the laptop, then putting it in my bag.
"Yeah, yeah whatever you say that shit all the time. But you in San Diego, go getcha self a quick lil fling or whatever." He said and again murmurs of agreement came from everyone else.
Again I rolled my eyes at the lack of a brain in any of them besides agreeing with everything he said. "Yeah, I guess so," I said standing from the chair I was sitting in, stretching my arms and yawning.
"Ima see you at the hotel aight?" I just nodded, still stretching then cracked my knuckles.
-
"That is a lot of ass," I said to Jared as we walked into this strip club, and he smiled widely, leading me to the VIP section and not even a minute later we were brought a bottle of champagne.
I was looking everywhere, I was so aware of all the ass or just exposed women in here that it was crazy. When a lady came over and danced for us, the yes men hyped her up tossing up some ones.
I paid attention to her for a second before she lost my attention, and I looked around again, I saw a group of women come in, all of them looking so excited- except one, and she was the one that had my attention.
I couldn't really see her from here- need my fucking glasses, I watched them go over to the bar, all of them getting shots but my attention was pulled back to the front when I felt a hand on my chin.
The woman was now in front of me, her hand tilted my head up to look at her, out of the corner of my eye I saw a few more women come over and start dancing, while the one who was holding my chin, now letting it go rubbing her hands on my legs.
I leaned over and whispered something to Jared, and he just nodded still focused on the girl grinding on his crotch, I stood up moving the woman to the side, and went over to the bar, the woman was still sitting at the bar, nursing her drink.
I took a deep breath, plating a small smile on my face, and pulled down my sleeves, covering my tattoos, approaching the woman trying to look friendly, but still sophisticated enough for her to take me seriously.
"Hi," I said and she looked up from her drink, her eyes squinting as she looked at me. "Is this seat taken?"
"No, it isn't."
I grinned and took a seat, calling the bartender over. "Can I have a Negroni and another of what the lady is having? Thank you." He nodded and went away to make the drinks and I turned to the mystery woman with the pretty green eyes."I still have a drink." She said while nudging her drink with her hand and I shrugged.
"Well maybe if you have another you'll stay with me longer," I commented and she chuckled shortly. "I'm Jordan and you are?" Her eyes narrowed at me, her nose scrunching slightly and I found it adorable, before my eyes landed back on her eyes. "Or I could call you green-eyed beauty it's up to you really." A soft smile came on her face and I smiled. "Aht, I got you to smile gotta tell me your name now."
"This was a bet? If so I wasn't well informed."
"I informed you like five seconds ago what do you mean? Deals a deal." I said shrugging my shoulders, thanking the bartender who gave us our drinks.
She held her out and I shook it, her hands were so soft. "I'm Elizabeth but you can call me Lizzie."
"Elizabeth. Lizzie." I tested the name and nodded. "It suits you." She took a sip of her drink. "So, why you over here all alone?"
"I got ditched." She said while downing the rest of her drink.
"I would never ditch you," I said while propping my elbow up on the bar and putting my chin in my hand and she snorted.
"So you'd ditch your own friends to hang out with me?"
"Bold of you to assume I have friends."
She laughed, before covering her mouth with her hand and I scoffed, putting my hand on my chest dramatically.
"Wow, just wow. I mean I say outright that I have no friends and you laugh at me? Disrespectful." I really wasn't complaining, her laugh was awkwardly soothing.
"I-I'm.. I'm sorry- I just wasn't expecting you to sound so proud of that."
"Why wouldn't I be proud of it? Means I have more time to myself and more time to spend with lovely people such as yourself."
"Mhm, that is a plus of not having any friends."
"Right?! It's so quiet without all the noisy chatter." I made a talking gesture with my hand, smiling to myself as she smiled.
"If you came here trying to escape noisy surroundings I don't think you made the right call."
"Eh, I think I'll manage, especially if you are the reason for my noisy surroundings." She cleared her throat, her eyes looking at her drink.
"Y-you live in San Diego?"
"Nope, just here for business- vacation, not business."
"Really? Because so am I." I nodded once, finishing my drink and asking the bartender over to make us both another round. "What do you do?"
"I'm an artist."
"Oh that's nice, now an artist as in painting or-"
"Musical artist, yeah. What about you?"
"I'm an actress."
"Oh, that's so cool!" I said, thanking the bartender as he brought over our drinks. "What movies have you been in?"
"I've been in a few Marvel movies, and Wind River two years ago, and a few other movies." I furrowed my brows looking at her confused, but now she looked confused. "You don't watch Marvel?"
I pressed my lips together and shook my head. "No, I may have watched one wit one of my friends but didn't pay attention."
"Thought you didn't have any friends." I chuckled. "Honestly it feels weird knowing you don't me from that."
"Is that a bad thing?"
"No! It's refreshing to know someone doesn't just think of me as one character. You know? A clean slate."
"Yeah, I get that," I said and she gave me a soft smile, it was quiet for a second between us.
"Hey, Jo, ima head out," Jared said as he came over to me, and I saw a girl on his arm.
"Aight cool, I'll text you later." He walked away, and I turned back to Lizzie.
"Do you wanna get out of here?" She asked me and I smiled, finishing my drink and standing up.
"Lead the way."
