This isn't so much a note as a reminder that this very book that you're holding in your hands is as valuable, if not foremost significant, as a diary. I will divulge my secrets in the pages as it follows, and I entreat your understanding, as my book retraces my story, opening with my young teenage years' thoughts. I have made the (hopefully wise) decision not to disclose people's names, for obvious reasons. Finally, beloved reader, I desire to welcome you with open arms in my universe of star-crossed stories, uniquely rare friendships, and silenced words. May you find solace in the words I have tried to make, at the best of my knowledge, as bright and right as the alignment of stars forming constellations.
