Wondering if I'm asleep or awake
But trying really hard to pretend it's not fake
Somehow dreams not fading
I wish you weren't only meant
For a one-night time of a life
You took my hand
And asked me for a kiss
Wanted to take me on a rooftop
To see the stars align
Cause I'd be by your side
As we stood high
Looking up at the sky
The wind blew around us
Making it seem like
We were soaring in flight
Throughout the night you said
We'd been trapped in cages
Made of our fear of rejection
We were finally freed
Our destinies had met
Homesick for a new world
Elsewhere only we knew about
Where we could design our destiny
In a quick blink we were whisked away
Guided by the whispers of love
You showed me the world
So many adventures like them
Couldn't last just like you
You made me live billions
Within a single lifetime
You promised we'd meet again
When clouds wouldn't cover
The moon, rendering it invisible
Soon I woke up all hopeful
In the morning's light of April
But dear you, boy from my dream
Are you as real as you seem?
Or is this just make-believe?
Are you alive in this world
Looking everywhere for your girl?
Or were you just a creation
In the world of imagination?
If you were made up of lies
You should've known better
And never have landed in my existence.
