Jennie POV

I arrived 20 minutes early and even then Rosé was already there, probably avoiding reasons for me to fire her and I remember my words saying that she wouldn't last two days, I hate being wrong.

— Good morning, Miss Kim — He says.

— Good morning, Roseanne, bring me my coffee — I say

In a few minutes I hear the door knocking

— Come in — I say and she comes in, coming towards me with a confident posture and places the coffee on my table.

— Do you need anything else?

— Call my mother and tell her I'm not going to my brother's engagement dinner.

—Sorry to butt in, but your mother didn't seem to want no for an answer. Wouldn't it be better if you spoke to her yourself?

— I don't feel like arguing today and you should just obey and not question me — I say

— My role is to help you and right now you've sent me to do something that involves your personal life and if you don't want my opinion, don't send me to resolve your issues outside the company — She says, she has an answer on the tip of her tongue, which is interesting, no one ever confronts me except Lisa or my parents.

— Just do what I told you — I answer and she leaves.

I start looking at some contracts while I drink my coffee. I spend at least two hours reading until I get tired and start staring at the view behind me, the wall behind me was just glass giving me a beautiful view, I stand there looking at it while I finish drinking my coffee. The day was quiet, I only had two meetings in the afternoon, but the whole day went by very quickly.

— Let go of me — I hear a scream from Roseanne as I pack my bag to leave and get up quickly leaving the room, while sending a message to security.

— What's going on here? — I ask seeing a man holding his arm

— It's none of your business — Says the woman next to him

— I think so, you are in my company, in my office and dragging my secretary — I say, getting closer.

— She's our daughter, we're taking her home — Her father says and I'm confused, the only thing I know about Roseanne's personal life is that she moved out on her own and now her parents want to take her home by force?

— As far as I know, Roseanne is already 19 years old, she knows exactly what she wants to do and can make her own decisions — I say — How about letting her go before I call the police

Her father lets go of her and pushes her, but I catch her before she falls to the floor, the elevator opens and I see the security guards.

— I'm ashamed to have you as a daughter — Her mother says

— You can accompany them to the exit and make sure they don't come back in here — I say and they nod and pull her parents to the elevator — Are you okay? — I ask and she starts to cry, leaving me speechless.

— He hit me — He speaks trembling — H-he had never done that before

— You need to calm down, breathe — I beg, but it's in vain, her hands were shaking even more and she couldn't breathe normally.

I hug her and try to make her calm down and get her breathing back to normal, which takes several minutes.

— I can punch him if I want — I say when she calms down and Roseanne laughs lightly

— Thank you — she says, pulling away embarrassed, and I shake my head.

—How do they know you work here? I mean, I don't suppose you told them

— They tracked me, probably on the day I answered my mother's call — He says

— That's sick — I say

— I'm going home — He says and walks away towards the elevator.

— I won't let you go alone — I say, going to her.

I didn't want her to go alone, after all they could be waiting for her outside or something like that, she told me her address after much insistence and I went to leave her in my car.

— Are you going to be okay? — I ask as I park, she spent the 15 minutes silent, sometimes crying.

— Yes, I will — he says — Thank you, really.

— Don't worry — I say and she smiles slightly and gets out of the car.
