Rosé POV

The week went by quickly, I tried to do well, but I messed up several times, the first time, Jennie just told me to leave and she did what she needed to do, trying to stay calm, but then when I messed up she just took a deep breath and taught me how to do it right, it was nice of her, even though she continued to be a strict and somewhat annoying boss.

Today is Saturday, Jisoo came here to help me get ready earlier and now I'm restless waiting for Jennie, thinking about all the bad things that could happen, I already do a lot of wrong things, doing it at her house would be even worse. I hear the doorbell ring and look at myself in the mirror one last time.

*Rosé's outfit*

My hair is simple, loose with just a few waves, I thought the slit was too much, but Jisoo said it looked beautiful, my heels weren't that high, I grabbed my bag hearing the doorbell ring again, she's not at all patient and of course, she hates being late, but we still have 20 minutes. I wonder if her mother's house is far away?

I walk to the living room, turning off the lights and then opening the door. Jennie looks me up and down, making me blush.

— You look very pretty, Rosé — I'm surprised that she calls me by my nickname and I smile.

— You too, Jennie — I say and she smiles back.

— Let's go — He says and I leave, locking the door.

*Jennie's outfit*

— Why are you tense? — He asks after 10 minutes of driving.

— I'm afraid of messing it up, your family must be super rich

— Don't worry, everything will be fine. You're great — She says.

— Thank you, are you nervous to see them again?

— A little - Speak

After another 15 minutes of driving she finally parked, there were several cars in the place and the house was huge, it was more like a mansion. Jennie got out of the car just like me and was soon by my side.

— Ready? — She asks and I say yes, she extends her arm and I take it and we walk to the entrance.

Everyone's eyes were on the bride. She was dark-haired, with a beautiful body, she was truly beautiful. When we entered, people's attention went from her to us. They were surprised to see Jennie there, that was obvious, but they were also curious about me.

— Daughter - Jennie's mother walks up to us — I'm glad you came

— You forced me, in case you don't remember — Jennie says

— Both of you are impeccable, you look beautiful Rosé — He says

— Thank you Ashley — I say and she smiles and leaves soon after.

Jennie starts walking and greeting her family members, everyone asked if I was her girlfriend, she just said no and that I was just a friend and they didn't seem to believe her but accepted the answer.

Then we go to a drinks counter and she pours champagne into two glasses and hands one to me and I take a small sip. I see Jennie laughing looking at me

— Don’t you like it? — he asks.

— It's the first time I've had anything with alcohol — I say, surprising her — I was raised in a Christian family, so drinking and parties were out of the question.

— That explains a little why your parents did that — He says and I agree

— Well well if it isn't my dear sister

— Hello Benjamin — Jennie says turning to him and I do the same, seeing her brother and his fiancée

— Your girlfriend? — He asks

— Just a friend, mom really likes Rosé and invited her — She says and I just smile

— It's a pleasure, Rosé — He says and squeezes my hand — You're very beautiful — He says and I see Jennie frown, she didn't hide the fact that she didn't like her brother's comment

— You could have found someone better to come with you — The bride says looking at me with contempt and I look at her indignantly

— Are you sure, Chloe? Or are you jealous that Rosé is getting more attention than you, the bride herself? — Jennie replies and she is left speechless.

Jennie gently pulls me by the hand to the house's garden, it was huge and had many beautiful flowers.

— I'm sorry about that — He says

— She'll need a lot more than that to get to me — I say

— I thought you were offended.

— I was just surprised, she tried to offend me in the few minutes she was around me, I thought it would take longer — I say — Do you still like her?

Jennie and I were in an informal moment, I felt safe asking a personal question, but afraid of the answer, for some reason.

— No, she hurt me a lot and I forgot about her several months ago, I just never came back here because the memories hurt, not so much in relation to her but to my brother. I always admired him, he was always my safe haven, I was very disappointed when I saw him having sex with my girlfriend — He says and I agree — Did you run away from home?

— I was born into a Christian family, as I said a little while ago, I studied at a Christian school, but I was caught kissing a girl and was expelled, my life became hell from then on, I could no longer leave the house alone, my parents took me everywhere, they looked at my conversations on my cell phone, I couldn't have friends, anyway, in the early hours of my 19th birthday, I kind of ran away from home, I took some money that I had and went to an airport at three in the morning and caught the first flight that came my way — I say

— You have a lot of courage — He says and I laugh — Are you okay?

— Yes, I left that house. Nothing can stop me now — I say and see Jennie smile at me, she looked proud

— You're a great secretary, Rosé, even though you irritate me a lot. My mother is right, I need someone who will stand up to me instead of just accepting what I say. You just need more attention — He says, surprising me and I smile.

—Thank you — I say

— We better go back — He says and we start walking back home.

The journey was peaceful and we didn't talk anymore, I knew that what was said here would stay here and we would hardly bring up the subject again. When we arrived, dinner had already been served, people looked at us curiously, but no one said anything.

We walk over to the empty seats at the table, Jennie pulls out my chair for me and then sits next to me. Her brother was on the other side of her, but she apparently ignored that. After dinner, people start to say goodbye and leave little by little, but we stay there.
