Rose POV

I wake up early, take a shower and get ready for work. I take a taxi there thinking about how to hide my embarrassment in front of Jennie, I'm still embarrassed about that damn kiss, Jisoo laughs at me yesterday when she called me to ask about dinner. I had already decided to pretend that nothing happened, I can't lose my job. I bet Jennie will do the same, after all it was nothing big.

I get there, go to my desk and start looking at the diary, I needed to talk to her about a meeting and an event in London, the former secretary had scheduled it and it would be in two weeks.

I hear the elevator noise and see Jennie.

— Good morning, Miss Kim — I say standing up.

— Good morning Roseanne, bring me a coffee — he asks, apparently I was called by name again, I'll make the coffee and I'll leave it in your office.

— Excuse me — I say as I enter and put the coffee on her table — I need to remind you about a trip to London in two weeks, there will be a meeting and an event with owners of several companies — I say and she sighs

— You have to go with me — He says, leaving me surprised and I just say — I also need you to take care of the tickets, accommodation and those things — He says

— Okay — I say — Do you need anything else?

— No, you can leave — he says and I leave.

The morning was quiet, as always answering calls, taking notes and doing things that I consider boring. I spent a lot of time studying the company, I wanted to understand how everything worked, I would always have to accompany Jennie and it's strange that her secretary doesn't know anything about it.

— Aren't you going to have lunch?— I hear Jennie's voice behind me and look at the time on my cell phone.

— I didn't even notice the time passing — I say and get up

— Studying?— He asks and I see a proud smile on his face, the same one from the day of dinner.

— Yeah, I felt the need to learn about it — I say, walking to the elevator.

— You're getting better — He says and we enter the elevator.

— And you were wrong about me only lasting two days — I say and press 18 to meet Jisoo

— It's a surprise for all of us — He says and the elevator opens, I look ahead and see Jisoo and Lisa with several papers apparently organizing — Aren't you coming? — Jennie asks

— No — Lisa says — We have to finish this before my meeting which is in 15 minutes.

— Good luck — Jennie says and presses the button to continue descending

I leave the building and decide to go to the coffee shop across the street. I start to cross and my cell phone rings, it's my mom again, are they still here? I was about to decline the call when I'm pulled back onto the sidewalk and see a car pass right where I was.

— Have you ever tried looking at the street before crossing?— I hear Jennie and turn to her

— Thank you — I say

— You're welcome — He says — Are you going to the cafeteria? — He asks and I say — Me too

We crossed the street and sat at a table, in silence.

— What do you want? — The waitress asks and I see her smile and bite her lip at Jennie

— I want a croissant and an orange juice — I say and she writes it down

— And you?— Jennie bites her lip again

— A piece of cake and a ca....

— And a juice, she also wants orange juice — I say and Jennie looks at me.

— I'll bring it in a little while — He says and leaves

— I didn't want a juice — He says

— You've already had three cups of coffee this morning and cake is not lunch — I say and she sighs and my cell phone rings again. It's my mother again. I put it on silent and ignore it.

— Okay, Roseanne, but a croissant isn't lunch either— He says.

— Why don't you call me Rosé?

— Working hours — Speak

— Everyone at work calls me Rosé — I say

— Well, for me, Rosé is an interesting, fun and very attractive girl. But Roseanne is my annoying secretary who loves to get on my nerves and disobey my orders — She says and I laugh

— I'm flattered, by both of you — I say

The waitress arrived and left our food on the table, we ate in silence and then went back to the office. We didn't say a word to each other, it wasn't awkward, it was just nice to be in silence next to her, feeling her presence there.
