Jennie POV

I wake up early as usual, get up, put on some gym clothes, wash my face, tie my hair, brush my teeth and walk to the kitchen. I eat some fruit and hear the door opening.

— Good morning, Nini — Lisa says

— Good morning, Lili — I say

Lisa was wearing a black top and black pants, just like me. She's my best friend, we met in high school and now she's the vice president of the company.

Every day we walk for half an hour, we talk more than we actually walk.

— What did you think of the new secretary?

— I don't think it will last long, it was five minutes late with a simple request — I say

— I know you, Jennie, it certainly wasn't easy and besides, five minutes is very little, especially since it was her first day — He says

— I don't like mistakes — I say simply, getting up and putting the plate in the sink.

— Give the girl a chance, she's beautiful by the way — He says looking at me

— That's undeniable, but I prefer her to be efficient — I say and Lisa smiles

— Maybe she's efficient at other things besides work — he says and I laugh, shaking my head.

— Let's go, Lalisa Manoban — I say and walk to the door

— Are you going to say that you never thought about her that way? — He asks and I roll my eyes leaving the house.

— I'm not you to stay behind the desk — I say and she smiles

— First of all, I would like to remind you that Chloe was your secretary — He says and I roll my eyes

Chloe is my ex-girlfriend, she cheated on me with my brother, I caught them having sex a year ago, today they are engaged and for a year I have refused to go to any family dinner or event.

— And secondly, Jisoo doesn't give me any attention — He says and I laugh

Jisoo is funny and entertaining, I've never talked to her alone for more than five minutes and we usually talk about work stuff.

— You should give up on her

— No, thanks — She says and I roll my eyes.

The walk was peaceful, as always, I went back home, took a shower, got ready for work and soon left. I entered the company being greeted by some people and soon went to my floor.

— Good morning, Miss Kim — Roseanne says as soon as the elevator opens.

— Good morning, Roseanne, bring me a coffee — I say and go to my room

I turn on my computer and sit at my desk making the presentation for the meeting that I would have this week, or next, I really have no idea, I hope Roseanne knows or Lisa, I think she's going to that meeting.

— Come in — I say when I hear knocking on the door and Roseanne comes in with the cup and puts it on my table.

— You have a meeting tomorrow at 2 pm — He says and I sigh, I thought I would have at least two more days, I take a sip of coffee

— Roseanne, it's just a teaspoon of sugar, it can't be that difficult — I say and she takes a deep breath

— Do you want me to change it?

— No, you can leave — I say impatiently.

The day is quiet, as usual I don't go out for lunch and I spend the whole "script" of what I need to talk about in the meeting. I send an attachment by email to Roseanne and ask her to print it. The girl is a bit slow, besides taking almost an hour, she also came with the stapled sheets out of order. I got stressed and told her to leave, I fixed it myself and took a look to see if there was anything else wrong.

— Hi — Lisa enters the room smiling without knocking, as usual.

— Hi Lisa — I say stressed

- What happened?

— It just so happens that I need a secretary who will help me and not get in my way even more — I say

— Hold on for a few days, go on, she'll get used to it.

— It's obvious that it won't work, I don't know what was going on in your head to hire someone without experience.

— She was the best option

— I was better off without her

— Hey Jennie, shut up, you were desperate — He says and I roll my eyes — Give the girl a chance, it's her second day, if it doesn't work out by next Friday, we'll hire someone else

— Next Friday? In nine days?

— You know we have a lot of work to do and we can't afford to be disorganized and you still have the trip to London

— Don't remind me of that, Lisa, don't remind me — I say and she laughs

— Did you have lunch?

— Yes — I speak simply

— Rosé said no — He says and I sigh — You're going to get sick again, Jennie

— I'm not hungry, Lili — I say

— That's how you ended up being admitted last year.

— Don't worry, I'm fine — I say and she rolls her eyes — I promise to have lunch tomorrow — I say

— I hope so — He says and receives a call — It's Jisoo, I have a meeting now — He says, come to me and bite my cheek — Bye, mandu — He says and I smile

— Bye Lili

Mandu is a nickname from high school, Lisa still uses it when we're alone.

The afternoon was quiet, I didn't see Roseanne again, although I wanted to have another cup of coffee, it passed almost immediately when I remembered that she doesn't make it the way I like it.

I finish things, the work day wasn't over, I still had almost an hour ahead of me, but I decided to go home, not in the mood to stay there. I grab my bag and leave the room.

— I'm going, Roseanne, when you finish your things you can go home too — I say, passing by her — And the next time Lisa asks if I had lunch, say yes, it doesn't matter if it's true or not

— Yes, ma'am — He says a little confused and I ignore him, leaving, I just need to relax.
