Mia's pov:
When we get back to The Cullens beautiful house, a sense of coming home overcomes me. Like I finally can breath freely again.
„Ready to go upstairs little one?" Alice happily asks as I quickly nod my head in excitement to finally see not only Jasy and Edward again but also Esme. Especially Esme honestly, since I haven't seen her throughout the whole day.
I don't know what I have been expecting when we meet up with those three, i however wasn't anticipating to see the three of them cuddled up closely together. My heart melts at that sweet scene and with a happy giggle I hurry myself into the small huddle to join them as well.
„Looks like you are indeed happy to see us again angel." Edward says with a chuckle. The others quick to join in while Jasy kisses my lips softly before pulling me tighter against his chest.
„Sure am happy to see you again." I say and peck Jasy's neck before I turn slightly over to look directly at Esme.
„Happy to see you too." I softly say. With an added way quieter Missed you. Her reaction however makes me realize that she certainly heard it just fine as her smile widens that much further.
„Missed you as well sweetheart. It's good to have you back close to us." she reply's and lovingly kisses my forehead. Obviously this show of affection makes me blush right away Crimson red, still I can't get myself to care that much about it.
„How did you like your adventure with those three?" Edward asks me interested. One of his hands softly caressing over Jasy's back while Esme keeps on combing through his hair. The look of pure peace on his face, lets me know that those must be his biggest soothing mechanisms. Something I surely am going to remember!
„It was quite fun. Scary, but well worth it. The view is absolutely stunning!" I quickly answer them quit giddily after realizing that I had spaced out again while watching Jasy's every reaction to their touches. Still they all act as if I haven't missed a beat.
„That's good. It's a really great spot to think and relax for us, so it's good to know you enjoyed it that much as well." Esme says with a wide smile plastered on her face, once again remembering me how young she actually looks like.
When the door suddenly falls shut, we all look towards the stairway in confusion, while Jasy makes sure to tighten his hold on me a bit further, seemingly getting ready to protect me no matter what. Wanting him to show him that I am alright, just like he himself is, I softly peck his lips. This quickly makes him beam at me happily before I snuggle back against his chest. If physical touch is something he needs, well then we are a perfect match seeing as I am also love starved and therefore always willing to join cuddles.
„Sorry, we didn't mean to scare you guys. We simply went to get our dad from the airport and forgot to tell you when we will return." Alec apologizes the second he sees us all cuddled up on the couch. The rest of the Cullens still looking towards them in alarm, something that quickly changes at the realization of whom actually arrived.
„Don't worry. It's good to see you back in one piece. And I am glad you could get your dad along with Felix with you." Esme simply says with a welcoming smile.
„Speaking off, I hope you had a good travel?"she asks the two newcomers who are smiling softly towards me. I also see how Jane and Alec cling onto the younger one as if they fear he will vanish the second they will let go whereas Demetri simply smiles lovingly at the pair of them.
„The travel was quite alright Esme, thanks again for allowing us all to stay here with you and your family. Especially on such short notice." the older one says with an incredible soothing tone of voice. A voice that sounds quite like a lullaby in my ears. something that tells me that he is safe. Which let's face it, is completely strange for me. Thinking about it though, I also let the Cullens and their friends in without any trouble, therefore it's kind of understandable that I would do the same for their friends dad. Even more so since the twins have told me so much about their dad already.
„Don't be silly Marcus, I already told you that you are more than welcome around here." Carlisles voice suddenly comes from behind the five of them. Slowly he hugs the two newcomers before he walks towards the couch to take a seat right next to all of us.
„Please have a seat and get comfortable, the travel wasn't a short one so relax." he adds and makes an inviting hand movement towards the empty side of the couch with a welcoming smile.
„Hey princess. I hope you had a great day?" he softly asks me as he kisses my forehead lovingly while the others indeed take a seat.
„My day was quite fun, thanks for asking. I hope you had a quiet workday yourself?" I answer and see his smile widen even further.
„Mine was fine as well, happy to be back at home though." he answers. Slowly he turns his head to the side, so he now is able to look at their newly arrived visitors.
„Marcus, Felix, I would like to introduce you to Mia Swan. Mia, princess, this is Marcus Volturi one of my oldest if not oldest friend of mine and this is Felix." Carlisle introduces us to one another. Still not really knowing how to react to any introductions, I simply wave my hand slightly with a quiet hey. This however seems to be the right way of approaching them, since they smile widely towards me. To my surprise Marcus even stands back up to walk towards me and pull me into a soft welcoming hug.
„It's really great to meet you. My children and Carlisle have already told me so much about you." he says with utter joy in his eyes. The hug once again feels so familiar and soothing, just the way dads hug always feel like. Maybe that is some kind of fathers magic? Who knows?
„It's nice to meet you too." I softly reply as he softly lets go of me, however only enough to fully be able to look at me.
„Why don't you take a seat and talk with Carlisle for a bit, while we start to cook something for our angel?" Edward asks slightly strained which Marcus accepts whereas I am confused about the sudden strain in his voice.
„Of course! It has been way too long since we actually saw one another from face to face." Marcus happily says. In the mean time Emmet, Rosalie and Esme stood up to go prepare some food for me. Something I still do t feel comfortable about.
„May I help with the cooking? Please?" I ask hopefully, really having enjoyed our cooking yesterday and therefore I hope we can repeat this experience once again. Thankfully they all seem quit happy about it as well, at least their smiles got even wider at the prospect of me joining them. Something that definitely makes me even happier to join them. That joy however quickly vanished, as I see my Jasie sitting completely stiff on the couch.
Since I don't want to draw any more attention at him, nor know how to change my prior wish of joining them for the cooking, I without a word said, hold out my hand to him. Simply inviting him to come along as well. Thankfully he quickly accepts my quiet offer by taking my hand in his. As I watch with relief as his posture immediately relaxes as he smiles shyly at me.
