Mia's pov:
After Dad and i got home, we both sigh in relief that the house is dark and therefore Isabella no where to be seen.
„Are you still hungry mia? If so, we can Drive to the diner?" Dad asks still a bit shaken up it seems. But i can also see the shy smile playing on his face.
„Not really, but you sure are. You after all havent eaten anything since your short lunch break and you know i can always go for one of their milkshakes." i tell him with excited eyes. Their shakes are honestly the absolute best i have ever tasted!! My Dads chuckles make me smile even wider. Happy to finally see him this relaxed and joyouse again.
„Well, of we go then." he says still smiling widely. My heart warming instantly, since this reminds me of the good old days where we would do this quit often as our daddy daughter Date. I really loved those special dates, they always were fun. Especially since they were just for the Both of us. Isabella and René never came along, so we were able to talk freely with each other without anyone disturbing our peace.
„Which shake are you getting today baby girl?" Dad questions after we stopped in front of the old fashioned, yet homey diner.
„I think i take the vanilla Bean one. Back then it was my favorite, so i want to know if it still is this delicious." i answer him without thinking too deep into it. Yet i right away see dads face fall a little.
„I am truly sorry it took so long to bring you back home. If i only fought harder, then you wouldn't of had such a horrible upbringing. I Hope You will be able to forgive me one day." he says with pure pain and utter remorse in each and every word. Once again bringing me to tears just from the mention of all those years we missed out on simply because René wanted to hurt my Dad.
„Don't think like that Dad. You did everything you could to get me back. Rene just got everyone to believe that you were the abusive part in the family." i softly explain. My hands holding his in mine as i need him to understand that he wasn't at fault at all.
„I am just happy that we finally are back together. That's the only thing that is important to me. So please don't blame yourself for something you were as much a victim in like i was." i say pleadingly. Nearly begging him to see the truth in my words and try to forget the past and instead live in the here and now.
„You are right darling, lets concentrate on our future instead. Those two nasty humans have already Stolen enough time and energy from us." he says after thinking for some time. His eyes soft as he looks proud at my prior explanation.
„You are really smart, you know that. Right?" he adds and softly kisses my forehead.
„How about we get you your treat and myself some food now?" he questions after we hugged for a bit longer. Allowing myself to once again soak up all his love for me, which means so incredibly much to me. Instead of a vocal reply i simply nod my head in agreement. Not liking the thought of my Dad being hungry, especially not if we are already standing Right infront of the diner!
„Ah, What a lovely sight! How have You been my dear?" an oldery woman asks the second we enter the Diner. To my shame i don't remember her name, but i certainly remember her! She always was our waitress when we came here and she always fussed around me like a doting grandma.
„I know Elise, i still cant belief that i got my wonderful daughter back!" Dad enthusiasticly explains with a wide smile on his face. To be honst, i am thankful that i now also got her name, since i would of felt really bad if i had to tell her i didn't remember hers.
„Its really nice to see you too Elise." i softly say and see her Smile even widen.
„Oh, You grew up way too fast young lady. I Hope you however arent too old for our Special vanilla Bean shake?" she asks and smiles brightly after i told her that i indeed planed on getting one right now.
„Well, go on you two, your usual seat is already waiting for You. One Shake for the Lady is coming up and i am guessing you want your usual Dinner charlie?" before Dad could even answer her she was already halfway in the kitchen to get everything orderd for us.
„Well, she hasn't changed one bit." i say with a giggle after taking a seat by the window. Dads chuckle also was enough as an answer before we get to talking about our day.
Right now, in this very second, it feels like i wasn't gone from here for so many years, it simple feels just like it always did, which i absolutely love!

Marcus pov:
Watching my mate and my daughter catching up over dinner and Dessert makes me Smile in utmost adoration. It still feels Kind of surreal to finally have found my one true mate and even thought we have just met, i know i would happily lay down my life for him.
„Papa? Does this mean that we are getting a Dad now too?" my sweet jane asks me hopeful as her eyes Jump from Mine towards the table my Mate and daughter are still sitting in. Alone hearing her question makes me Smile in relief, happy that my childrens only concern of me having a male Mate was if they could call him their Dad. Of course it's not uncommon that two same sex vampires are mated with one another, still there are sadly always some bigotts that are against everything that isn't normal in their eyes.
„I sure hope so dear, but i think i have to firstly win him over before we can ask him if he is willing to adopt you two." i softly explain as my Sweet Kids nod their heads in understanding, still i can see the sad look in their eyes.
„Don't worry my loves, i am certain he is going to be thrilled to adopt two more such Sweet children into his family." i add to hopefully sooth their worrys and help them cheer back up. Its also the simple truth, i am certain my mate will be over the Moon happy to add my Darling children into his family. Even more so if i see what an amazing father he is to my youngest.
