"What's your name, Omega?"The Head Alpha's piercing gaze fixed on Tae as he asked,

Tae's nerves were on edge, and he stammered, "S-sir, Kim T-Taehyung."

"Alright, Taehyung," the Head Alpha said, his tone both commanding and curious. "Tell me about yourself."

Though the Head Alpha was likely well-informed about Tae's background, but  he seemed intent on hearing it directly from Tae himself. Swallowing hard, Tae took a deep breath before speaking.

"I'm Taehyung, and I'm 20 years old," Tae began, trying to steady his voice. "I work at LC Corruptions." The mention of his workplace, with its shadowy reputation, felt heavy in the air. "I'm an orphan," he added, his voice dropping slightly as he revealed the personal detail.

The room was silent as the Head Alpha listened intently, his expression unreadable. Tae's heart raced, knowing that every word he said was being weighed and evaluated. The encounter was more than just an introduction; it was a test of his character and resolve

The Head Alpha's gaze lingered on Tae with a mix of approval and curiosity.

"So, you work at LC? I'm impressed, Taehyung."

Despite the compliment, Tae noticed a flicker of curiosity in the Alpha's eyes. The Alpha's voice held a hint of surprise as he continued,

"I thought omegas like you usually worked in bars or similar places, the Alpha remarked, his tone a mix of surprise and inquisitiveness.

Tae felt a pang of discomfort, the comment making him feel smaller and more self-conscious. He could sense the underlying assumptions about his role and status, and it left him feeling exposed and low.

Before Tae could fully process his discomfort, the Alpha's sharp tone cut through the silence.

"I know LC is one of the best companies. How did they offer you a position, given that you're only 20?"

Tae's mind raced, but no satisfactory explanation came to him. The very thought made his heart pound, and he could feel a bead of sweat forming on his forehead. The Alpha's steady gaze seemed to pierce right through him, amplifying his anxiety.

The Alpha's silence grew more intense, and Tae could sense the unspoken demand for a genuine answer. He fidgeted, his palms clammy. The head Alpha's curiosity was turning into a silent pressure, making Tae's heart race faster. The truth was uncomfortable and humiliating: Chen had given him the job as a gesture of kindness after their shared bed in the past, an arrangement that had less to do with Tae's professional capabilities and more to do with their personal history.

Tae took a shaky breath, feeling the tension in the room. His mind scrambled for a way to address the Alpha's question without laying bare the full extent of his vulnerability.

As Tae struggled to find a response, a sharp knock at the door cut through the tension. The Head Alpha's gaze shifted, a hint of irritation in his eyes. "Come in."

The door opened, and a maid entered, bowing deeply. "Sir Young Lord demands to see the Omega now. He is quite angry."

The Head Alpha's expression grew more serious. He sighed heavily, then turned his attention back to Tae.

"We'll continue this discussion later. For now, you need to shower and change into a different uniform. I don't want my son to be near anything filthy," he said, his eyes narrowing as he glanced at Tae with a touch of disdain.

"He's already added one mess today,"

the Alpha added, his tone leaving no room for doubt about his displeasure.
