The soft rays of morning filtered through the curtains, casting a golden hue over the room. Both Tae and Jungkook were still asleep, wrapped in silence   until the persistent ringing of Taehyung’s phone shattered the peace.

Tae stirred, blinking away sleep. He groggily reached for his phone on the nightstand, only to see Mingyu’s name flashing on the screen.

His heart dropped. He didn’t know whether to pick up not with Jungkook lying beside him. He knew what would happen if he did.

Slowly, almost guiltily, he glanced at Jungkook

But Jungkook was already awake. His eyes were open, watching him silently. Coldly.

“Give me the phone,” Jungkook said, his voice flat and firm.

Tae hesitated before handing it over.

Jungkook answered without a hint of politeness.

“Hello.”

Mingyu’s voice came through the line, confused.

“Who are you?”

Jungkook smirked.

“Im Jeon Jungkook. Your future Head Alpha and the Trueblooded Alpha .”

There was a pause, then a nervous reply.

“Sir I… I just wanted to talk to my mate.”

Jungkook’s voice turned sharp.

““That mate you left behind in a world full of wolves? The one you threw into the arms of strangers while you ran like a coward?”

He paused, his eyes narrowing.

“You call that being a mate? If that’s Mate  then you are fail in that  .”

Mingyu stayed silent.

Jungkook continued, tone cutting.

“If you want to talk to him, Come.”

Mingyu managed to ask,

“Where—?”

"Head Alpha  mansion,” Jungkook said coldly before cutting the call.

He tossed the phone back on the bed and looked at Tae.

“Go take a shower.”

Taehyung didn’t reply. He simply stood up, head lowered, and walked to the bathroom doing exactly what Jungkook said.

As the sound of the shower began from behind the closed bathroom door, Jungkook leaned back against the headboard,A slow, satisfied smile curled on his lips.

It wasn’t just about the call  it was the silence on the other end. The way Mingyu had no words. No excuses. No fight left in him.

That silence was power. And it belonged to Jungkook now.

Taehyung stepped out of the shower, droplets still clinging to his damp hair as he stood silently in front of the mirror. He absentmindedly ran the towel through his hair, lost in his thoughts specifically, thoughts of Mingyu.

His expression was unreadable, blank yet heavy with emotions he couldn’t untangle.

But just as his mind wandered deeper, two strong arms suddenly wrapped around his waist from behind, pulling him back against a firm, muscular chest. He flinched, startled, completely thrown out of his thoughts.

Jungkook.

The scent, the touch it was unmistakable. Jungkook’s presence wrapped around him like a trap. Without a word, Jungkook leaned down and pressed his nose into the nape of Taehyung’s neck, inhaling deeply, almost possessively.
