Jungkook sat in his dimly lit room, the silence wrapping around him like a heavy shroud.
The air was still until the door suddenly burst open. His sharp eyes flickered toward the entrance, where his mother, the Luna of the pack, stood breathless.
She looked like she had run a marathon, her chest rising and falling rapidly, but her gaze was unwavering,  Before he could utter a word, she rushed forward, closing the distance between them in mere seconds.
Without hesitation, she wrapped her arms around him in a bone-crushing embrace. Her grip was desperate, almost as if she feared he would disappear if she let go.
“My son…” she murmured, her voice trembling, her fingers pressing into his back.
Jungkook remained still, his arms hanging at his sides, his expression same .
she finally pulled back, her hands immediately reaching for his face.
Her palms cupped his cheeks, her touch warm yet desperate. She studied him with teary eyes, scanning every inch of his face as if she were memorizing him all over again.
“My son…” she whispered, her voice thick with emotions.
“You’ve grown up so fast.”
Her thumb brushed over his cheekbone, tracing the sharp edges of his face. She tilted her head slightly, her gaze soft yet brimming with sorrow.
“You were so small once… so fragile,” she murmured, her lips pressing against his forehead in a lingering kiss.
“And now… look at you.”
She kissed his cheek, then the other, as if trying to reclaim the years that had slipped through her fingers. Her lips found the tip of his nose, then finally, she placed a gentle kiss on his chin, holding his face between her hands.
“My son, you’ve grown up so fast,” she repeated, almost as if saying it out loud would help her accept the reality before her.
But Jungkook didn’t react. His face remained blank, his dark eyes void of warmth. He simply stared at her, his lips slightly parted, but no words left his mouth.
The room fell into silence once more, the air heavy with unspoken emotions.
After that, Jungkook said,
"Let's sit on the balcony."
Luna nodded, and together they stepped outside.
The cool afternoon breeze brushed against their skin as they settled into their seats, the vast kingdom stretching before them. The sky twinkled above, casting a soft glow over everything.
For a while, they sat in silence, simply taking in the view. Then, Leona turned her gaze toward Jungkook, her expression warm.
"My son..." she started, her voice gentle.
Jungkook hummed in response, his eyes still fixed on the horizon then he turned his head slightly to look at her.
And see his feature and said :
"You look so peaceful."
Luna  watched him for a moment before saying,
"Why wouldn’t I be? My peace is sitting right in front of me."
Jungkook stared at her, speechless. His mother’s words lingered in the air, filling the space between them. Then, without saying anything, he shifted his gaze back to the scenery ahead.
Luna's smile faded a little as a shadow of sadness passed over her face.
"Jungkook... I am sorry," she said suddenly.
