Time marched on.
The forty days were nearly over, with only two or three days left before the crown ceremony and the marriage that would change their lives forever.
In those days, everything around Taehyung and Jungkook shifted slowly,
almost imperceptibly.Anastasia had become a part of Jungkook’s life in ways Taehyung could only observe from afar small moments, like Jungkook plucking a flower and handing it to his mate,
lingered in Taehyung’s mind like a echo.
In those Days it carved a quiet understanding into him: that attention was not meant for him, and chasing it would only unravel the fragile peace he had begun to build with Sophia.
Sophia had become his anchor. Day by day, she filled the empty corners of his life with laughter and routine,
guiding him gently through mornings and nights alike.
They would steal moments together in the mansion’s gardens,
watch the sky after dinner, or quietly walk along the moonlit pathways.
With her, Taehyung had learned the subtle rhythm of living again not the life of hiding or enduring,
but of small joys, of noticing the warmth in ordinary moments.
It was a life he could breathe in, unafraid.
But the approaching crown ceremony cast a shadow over even these peaceful days.
Guests began to arrive from across the kingdom, their voices carrying authority and curiosity into every corner of the mansion.
Each step of theirs seemed to echo through the halls, a reminder of the centuries-old traditions and the expectations tied to a true-blooded alpha’s rise to power.
A maid knocked softly on Taehyung’s door,
“Taehyung sir, the young lord has sent a message. He strictly says you must not leave your room after today.”
Sophia, standing nearby, raised an eyebrow, momentarily taken aback.
“Why? ”
The maid shook her head.
"He did not give a reason.”
Sophia turned to Taehyung, her eyes searching his.
“You should ask him.”
Taehyung’s gaze fell, a shadow crossing his features.
“It’s okay. I don’t want to go out anyway. The mansion… it’s filled with alphas now. I don’t want to be part of their whispers, their judgments. I can’t-” He trailed off, swallowing the unease that tightened his chest.
Sophia’s hand lightly touched his arm, grounding him.
“Maybe you’re right,” she said softly.
Jungkook had become busier than ever.
Every respected figure from across the kingdoms had come to meet the true-blooded alpha,
each seeking his attention, his approval, or simply the honor of standing in his presence.
Jungkook handled them all with the calm, aura that had become his signal commanding, and yet quiet,
like a still river concealing a strong current beneath.
Days blurred together, filled with protocol, conversations, and subtle power plays.
There was barely time to think, let alone dwell on anything personal.
