Kai's POV

Katana grabbed my chin in her arms, and her fingers sent shivers across my skin. I leaned in, and kissed her. It was a beautiful kiss, full of everything we'd been holding back over the last few weeks.

We crashed through her door, ripping the hinges out of the wall. We fell onto her bed, and I carried on kissing her. I felt electric charges burst along our lips, and I breathed in a sigh. Her scent flooded my nose - honey and vanilla winding up my nose.

I sat up, and started to undo my trousers. I saw Katana's lips move, but couldn't hear anything, and started to climb onto her.

"Kai, please." She whispered my name, and my heart fluttered. I leant down to kiss her, and slid my hands down to her waist. I pulled her dress off, and slung it next to her on the bed.

"Kai, stop." I smiled down at her, and she was staring up at me. I moved my hands, following the curve of her back, until I reached her lace bra.

"Kai, please." She had closed her eyes now, and was starting to push away from me. I unhooked her bra, and leant down to kiss her again.

"Kai." She screamed, and backed away from me. She had a look of pure fear in her eyes, and quickly grabbed her dress to try and cover herself.

I heard footsteps behind me, and Yelena came running in.

"What happened? Is Kat alright?"

I was frozen to the spot, Katana's scream still echoing in my ears. Katana was still curled up in a ball at the end of her bed, shaking and crying.

Yelena rushed over to her, and tried to hold her, to comfort her, but Katana threw herself to the other side of the bed, to get away. Yelena tried to get close again, but Katana hit her in defence. Eventually, Yelena pulled out a small needle, and injected Katana, and she started to calm down, and fall asleep.

I walked over to her, and whispered in her ear.

"I'm sorry Banana. I fucked up... Again."

Yelena was sat next to Katana, stroking her hair. She looked up, and glared at me.

"Kai. What the hell did you do?" She got up, and started to pull out a knife.

"I... I... Fucked up. I didn't mean to hurt her. I..."

"I though I could trust you Kai, but you don't get to be with my sister if you hurt her." She looked furious, and started to bring the knife up to my throat.

"Yelena, I'm sorry. I would never intentionally hurt her. I... I really like her, Yelena. I love her."

"Look, Kai. I know she seems fine, and strong, but she's been through so much. She's hurting. So much." Some of the anger had left her face, and was replaced with sadness.

"I know."

"If you ever hurt her, I will not have a problem killing you. Katana might have saved your life, but don't think I'll be so nice." She glared at me.

"You can sleep on the floor in the lounge." I nodded, grabbed my bag, and left Katana with Yelena.

I found myself, once again, asleep on Katana's couch, but this time it was entirely my fault. As I tried to fall asleep, all I could think about was how badly I had messed up. I had hurt the one person I loved. Eventually I fell into a restless sleep, dreaming of Katana.

I woke up the next morning, and, understandably, no one wanted to talk to me. I assumed they heard the commotion last night, and Yelena probably told them what happened.

Over the next few days, I tried to stay out of everyone's way, especially Katana's. The few times I saw her, we just briefly stared at each other, before quickly moving away. I really missed seeing her smile, and hearing her laugh.

Eventually, on Sunday, I needed to get out of the house, so I volunteered to do a grocery shop for everyone. Yelena gave me a list, without saying anything, and glared at me as I walked out the apartment. I drove me down to a local target. I grabbed everything on the list - mostly just essentials like food. After if picked everything up, I walked over to the electronics isle, and found the CD's. I picked up the newest Arctic Monkeys CD, hoping Katana didn't have it. Then, I paid, and put everything in the car.

When I arrived back at the apartment, I took the CD out of the bag, and hid it inside my jumper, instead.

I walked inside, put the bag of food on the kitchen counter, and began to unpack it.

Katana's kitchen was a similar style to the rest of her apartment. She had dark grey walls, lined with dark wood shelves and cupboards full of plants. Dark wood covered the flood, and there was a small kitchen island, with a couple of black bar stools to sit on. There were more plants on the island, with autumn scented candles mixed in among them. A large neon sign, spelling 'But first, coffee', covered one wall, and the wall opposite opened out into the living room, where I could see Katana sat on the couch watching TV. She was hugging a cushion, watching The Umbrella Academy. Great. Another thing we both liked.

I watched her sadly, wishing I could be sat next to her.

Later that evening, Katana was having a shower, and I quickly wrote a note, and stuck it on the CD, before sneaking into her room, and leaving it on the table next to her bed.

I left the room, and lay down on the sofa, and carried on reading Pride and Prejudice. I was amazed at how good it was, although it was better when Katana was reading it.

God, I missed her so much.
