I looked over at Park, who had been quiet since the movie started, in deep thought. Kai was in his arms, watching the show, and he was too, but I could tell his attention wasn't on it.

I didn't say anything, just ruffling Kai's hair. Both father and son turned to smile at me. I smiled back, realizing that this Park's smile was growing on me. He has definitely changed quite a bit since becoming a parent, but I realized I liked this look on him. He was such a wonderful father.

I turned my attention to the movie but realized my attention kept drifting back to Park. I glanced over at him discreetly, studying how his hair just waved about, carelessly, framing him. I looked down at his eyes, flanked by his eye lashes that were just freaking abundant. The way he perused his lips and frowned when his attention was on something. The way he carelessly just patted Kai and kissed him periodically.

"You ok, Forth dear?"

"Huh?" I looked over at Park's dad, who was just seated across from me.

"I keep seeing you look at my son. Is everything ok?"

Shit. I blushed badly, realizing I had been caught.

"Yes, uncle, everything is OK. I thought I saw something on his face. I saw it wrong, I guess."

Park's father did not say anything, smiling and nodding his head, but even I knew it was by far one of my most stupidest excuses. I made sure I didn't turn to see Park for the rest of the movie. But lo and behold, midway, Kai scrambled into my arms instead, wanting me to hold him but yet also wanting Park. So I found myself scooting closer to Park so Kai could be in my arms and yet have his hand on Park's arm. Park didn't say anything and just sat closer to me.

"Why would he say anything? He's just next to me just because of Kai." I grumbled inwardly to myself in my heart. At one point, both father and son just laid their heads on me, Kai resting on my chest and Park on my shoulder. I just took my arm and wrapped around Park, bringing him closer to me. He just nestled, and we watched the movie like that until it ended. Once it was done, Park said he would put Kai to bed but his mom said she will do it today.

She looked at me and just said, "This son of mine hasn't gone out or done anything for himself in the last 1.5 years. Can you just bring him out and you guys are not allowed to come home earlier than 4am!"

"Ma! I can't leave Kai alone!"

"He's sleeping already dear. He will be fine with us. If anything, we will call you. Just go out. Get a breather. What is it you boys will call it?"

"A date, dear." Park's dad supplied the answer helpfully looking at me cheekily. I grimaced as I looked at him, praying he wouldn't tease me further. Park wanted to retort, but his dad just pushed us out of the living room towards the front door.

Park looked at me and shrugged. "Come on. Let's go. We can go fishing or just a stroll, ok?"

He nodded, and we left. It was only 11pm so we decided to go play pool at one of those 24 hour cafes. It has been long since I played so I was incredibly rusty. But Park still kept his skills sharp as he had a pool table at home. So he offered to teach me again.

It was funny as I wasn't the best student and he smacked me as he taught me, ranting at my inabilities. I laughed. We had such a good time. Around 1am, we left, getting supper at this nearby eatery. Then I asked him if he wanted to go on a drive to our usual hang out spot when we wanted some breathing space and see the stars. He nodded. I drove us over, a spot about 50 minutes away from his house. We parked the car and I opened my convertible top, allowing us to sit in the car and just see the stars. I wanted to  smoke so took my cigarettes out and offered Park one but he declined saying he had stopped smoking.

I automatically was going to keep it away too but he stopped me.

"Just smoke. It's fine. 1 cigarette wouldn't hurt plus Kai is asleep anyway. You can shower before getting into bed. So he wouldn't smell anything."

I nodded. I took it out and started smoking.

"You don't have to stop smoking or drinking just because of Kai."

"I just don't want to be a bad example."

"You aren't. As long as it's not excessive and not infront of him ok?"

I nodded. Park smiled, just patting my hand. I looked over at him.

"It's been long since we hung out like this, huh?"

"It has been. Sorry, been just really occupied with Kai."

"It's fine. I am not upset or anything. It just hit me so thought of sharing with you. I know you will get me."

Park nodded, smiling at me. I just looked at him.

"Would you..would you give me a chance?"

"For?"

Shit. I panicked. "Just to be Kai's Dadaa Forthie." I blurted which wasn't my intention at all! Park looked at me for a long bit.

"Is that all?"

Most people don't scare me but I was still afraid of Park. People were scared of me but me? I was scared of Park. I nodded, looking everywhere but at him.

"Sure, if that's what you wanted to ask."

"What?"

"I said sure. Definitely. If that's all you wanted to ask." Or planned to ask."

I looked at Park. He was giving me a pass indirectly. I should ask him what I wanted to. But I chickened out and just nodded.

Park didn't say a word. I sighed. I knew instantly, unless I ever opened my mouth and asked, he will never ask me either.
