(Charlotte's pov)As salt air blew in through Mia's open bedroom window, my eyes snapped open, getting deja vu off of the air in the cold factory I once was victimised in. A large sigh of relief exited my mouth as I gazed around the familiar room. It was okay - It was just Mia's room. Soundly, the red-head slept next to me until suddenly her alarm boomed out and echoed off the inclosed bedroom walls. Still in a deep sleep, her arm automatically reached over to her alarm and clicked it off, effortlessly. I silently giggled to myself before realising we had school today, if I was late I would never get over it.
"Mia! Wake up!" I yelled while shaking her sleeping body.
"Go away! I'm still tired.." Mia moaned out, with her eyes still shut and her being unaware of what was currently occurring.
"Come on! We're going to be late for school!" I bickered back.
"Ughh. Go without me!" the red-head grumbled.
"No." I spoke firmly with a rather straight-forward answer.
Gently, I began pulling Mia's body off of the bed and attempting to wake her up.
"Fine! I'm up.. let me get changed quickly!" Mia gave in.
After I left the room, I got changed into yesterday's clothes before leaving my friend's house and walking back to mine for my uniform.
(Mia's pov)
Eventually, I gained the motivation to put on my school clothes and do my makeup. Yes, we may have a no makeup policy, but at this point, what's one more 'bad behaviour mark', I already have enough to be excluded, they just refuse to do it because my family's rich. I rapidly grew impatient of waiting for Char so I decided to begin to walk to her house.
Bravely, I approached her front door, nervous it would be her aunt who answered and not her. Normally, I wouldn't care, but after finding out about her family life - I'd rather pass on that awkward interaction with her relative.
Luckily, Charlotte swung open the door and we both prepared for school.
After arriving at the premier shop around the corner from our school, I met my friendship group and introduced them to Char.
"Hey guys, this is Char. She'll be hanging with us from now on." I began.
"Char? That's not a normal name." Deliah spoke rudely.
"Oh, well," Charlotte stumbled with her words and I knew whatever she would've said wouldn't of been mean enough so I swiftly interrupted.
"Well Char is actually just her nickname. Her real names Charlotte. And you're not one to talk about normal names, Deliah."
Admitting defeat, Dee-Dee just rolled her eyes and moved on.
------
After first period, Marjorie and Siobhan pulled me to the side and both told me the following,
Siobhan - "We don't like the new girl. She's too nice."
Marjorie - "Yeah. And why on hell did you even add her into our friendship group anyway? We have a rule saying no newbies. Aswell as she's ugly and nothing but a shy, rude little B*tch."
All of a sudden, I felt flames burning inside me and smoke felt like it was coming out my ears.
Aggressively, I punched them both square in the nose, causing blood to splash everywhere before I strutted away calmly like nothing even happened.
Why was everyone being so rude to Charlotte, she hadn't done anything..
Immediately after, I grabbed Char by her arm and pulled her into one of the walk-in storage closets.
"Ah!" The brunette squealed before tossing her body around to face me. A concerned look appeared on her face and she asked,
"Oh, Mia! Are you okay, there's blood all over you!"
"Yeah I'm fine, I just punched some girls that's all. Anyway, I need a vape but I hate doing it alone so I was wondering if you'd join me?" I offered.
(Charlotte's pov)
"Oh no sorry, I don't vape. I'm happy stay in here with you until next period though!" I replied with a smile, hiding my nervousness.
"Fine.. But how about we skip class?" She requested with a smirk.
"Oh sorry! I don't skip.." I apologetically responded.
(Mia's pov)
"Okay.. But you're coming back to mine tonight." I told her, letting her know she didn't have a choice.
"Alright then!" She willingly grinned.
This good girl reputation needs to be gone for her, and I know just how to get rid of it.
"Hey Char, how'd you feel about coming to a party with me this weekend?" I questioned.
"That sounds amazing! I'd love too!" She replied cheerfully.
