(Charlotte's pov)The sight of my mother made me feel uneasy, nauseous even. My whole body shook wildly and my anxiety was on a high. I felt on the verge of having another panic attack and Mia could clearly tell. My mind was pounding and I felt dizzy. I held onto Mia so I could remain my usual amount of balance. My ears were ringing heavily so I could barely hear the commotion going on by my side. Mia's croaky voice was shouting aggressively at my mother, while my parent responded harshly. I couldn't exactly make out the words but everything was slowly becoming too much. I was about to be pushed over the edge, again. Carefully, my girlfriend pushed my body behind hers so she could shield me and as I looked up my mother swung a punch, inches away from hitting Mia's face before the red-head caught it. My vision was becoming blurred. I wasn't sure what I was meant to do in this situation.
Why was this happening? Why did my mother have to come back?
Then a new question struck, where was my father while all of this chaos was occurring.
I didn't even care.
I was losing all control.(Mia's pov)
Charlotte seems stressed and I could see the tears burning in her eyes. I looked over at her sympathetically before glaring at her mother, she was the reason this was all happening. I could've been physically sick at the sight of her.
"What the hell do you think you're doing here?" I asked in a harsh tone while gazing up and down her body, getting a good glimpse at what I was up against.
She looked similar to Charlotte, crystal blue eyes and reddish-brown type of hair. The difference was that her mother's eyes were constantly squinted, and her hair was completely straight and cut into a short bob.
"Well, well, well. Hello to you too." Char's mother tutted.
I rolled my eyes before deepening my death stare. I held Charlotte still as she zoned out, focusing onto the ground. I was extremely curious as to what she would be thinking on that moment.
I took a deep breath before giving my full attention to her mother.
"I'm here for Charlotte, of course. It's time she gets the revenge she deserves." Her mother scowled.
I growled at her before shouting, "There's no chance of you hurting Charlotte, when I'm here."
I gave a breathy laugh.
"Who said you'd be there when I do it?" She smirked. This lady was really playing with me. She needed to be put back into her place.
"Okay listen, lady. I don't know who you think you are but all you are to me and Charlotte is a hideous cow." I yelled.
I watched at the rage bubbled inside of her, her face grew a burning red shade and her nostrils were flaring out.
Before she could make her next move, I pushed Charlotte behind me. She couldn't get hurt, I wouldn't allow it. I was her personal shield.I quickly glanced over Char to check up on her. She had now began to lose her balance and she had went a sickly pale shade. I felt so sorry for her. I quickly gained my focus before suddenlt her mother swung at me. I dodged the hit before lifting up my leg and kicking my girlfriend's mother in the gut.
"You are a b**ch." I spoke, emotionlessly.Rapidly, I prepared myself for this fight scene.
