(Mia's pov)

My eyes snap open at the loud sound of the hospital door being pushed open aggressively. As my eyes adjusted to the natural lighting, I tried to realise what that booming noise was. After turning my head, I saw a paramedic staring at Charlotte's resting body. Quitely and impolitely I whispered,
"What are you doing?"
Attempting not to disturb her, the doctor whispered a response,
"Miss Victoria is supposed to wake up at any moment now, I'm here incase there is any errors."
I silently nodded before moving my gaze towards my girlfriend. I felt myself smile and blush uncontrollably at the sight of her. Even unconscious she still contains so much power over me.
I giggled under my breath, sweetly.

Suddenly, small groans slipped out of Char's mouth as she began to stir and stretch out her body. Carefully, I approached her and rested my hand onto her pale, freckle-covered arm, in a form of comfort. Gently, her eyes fluttered open and a smile danced around her lips.

(Charlotte's pov)

I quickly myself regain my consciousness after being in a deep slumber for what felt like forever. I feel a soft, warm touch on my arm and immediately recognised it. I naturally beamed into the touch and then my cheeks flushed a light pink. Softly, my eyes waved open and I  saw my beautiful, red-head girlfriend looking lovingly towards me.
"Hello sweetheart," she grinned, to which I attempted to lean in to kiss her but the pain became unbearable so I fell back down onto the bed. To still feel comfort, I stroked her hand which remained placed on my cold arm.
My eyes suddenly drew attention to the rather large pile of letters placed on my nearby table. Confused, I looked over at Mia and she smiled,
"Happy one month and one day anniversary, baby!" I giggled before sadly saying,
"I'm sorry I missed our one month celebration.."
"You have nothing to apologise for my sweetheart, it wasn't your fault. But atleast you were in my presence the whole time!"
Without thinking, I blurted out a caring message,
"I love you, Mia."
Her eyes widened and her mouth dropped open. I can't believe I said that, I swore to myself that our relationship would be over after letting those words slip out. She regained her usual confidence before speaking up,
"I love you more, Char."
My already blushed cheeks had brightened into the colour of my companions hair - burning red.
