Elias is carrying me as he runs.
"You've carried me a lot of times now" just some minutes and I'll be able to walk but we can't waste time, I don't know what Agatha will do when she wakes.
"I don't think they are that many or I'm becoming greedier"
I blush at the memory when he said the word the first time.
He smirks and it never fails to make my heart skip a beat "I never say no to an opportunity to hold you"
I elbow his chest and he chuckles.
"We are here" he says as we approach the old building.
I close my eyes for some moments and focus as we go in.
"You're ready? You are sure you don't need my help?" Elias asks, adjusting his hold on me
"Keep your magic for speed" I summon my magic and shape it as a thick, long rope of glimmering white aura then will out of it hundreds of branches, each one flies and ties itself to a safety pin, making a net of thin ropes all bound together with a core thick rope.
Now comes the tricky part, I have to keep ahold of this and extend the core rope all the way out, where we will be standing out of the explosion range.
Elias starts walking, each twenty steps I pour more magic to add more length to the white rope. My breath accelerates.
"Start running" I say, walking will take us forever.
Elias' lips curl upward "I won't question your skills" he bends for a second then bolts
Magic flows from my hands like a river of white as I try to keep the rope stable and keep up with Elias' speed, my heart pounds fast and my eyes blur but I force myself to pour more, I must keep ahold of it until we are on a safe distance
Elias speeds up and I wince.
"Sylvia" his tone is worried and starts to slow down
"Don't stop!" I grit my teeth and force more out. He picks up his speed and I'm grateful he doesn't argue.
A wave of dizziness threatens to strike but I shove it away at the moment, just a little more and we will be far enough.
Just a little more.
My hands start to shake but I don't let go or stop, I dig deep in myself to where the core of my magic is and summon it out.
It's alright, I won't die. Unless it's a dark magic, our bodies don't allow us to deplete ourselves.
I'll be fine, just a little more.
"Now!" Elias shouts as he halts and I finally cease the magic's flow. I glance down at the rope, it's not glimmering and the white color is fainting but it's still intact.
I tighten my grip and hope within myself for this to work
Then pull the rope with all my strength

An explosion erupts and fire can be seen.
I finally give up to the dizziness and close my eyes.
~♥~
I'm glad this is an abandoned area, no trees or buildings -except the one we exploded- or people around, the fire won't spread or reach to anyone.
The woman and children will be safe.
I hear Elias' voice saying my name but it's too far, I try to focus on it
"Syl.."
Open your eyes
"Sylvia"
I feel a warmth on my face
"Sylvia"
My eyelids fly open and I blink several times until I see a clear image of Elias' face
What a beautiful sight
"Sylvia" his fingers brush against my face gently
"Where are we?" I'm lying on his lap
"The forest in the south, almost home"
"Home" I look up at the trees, sniff the cold air, touch the grass beneath me. How much I missed this.
But we are not done yet
I can feel my legs again so I try to stand but Elias stops me "don't even think about it, I'll carry you to the castle so you can rest" he brings my head up and looks me in the eye "we still have time before the humans recover from what happened and attack. Leaving early was a good call"
my shoulders relax a bit. He is right I need to compensate what I lost of magic or I'll be useless in the fight. Which is probably going to be at night. When the moon is up and vampires are out.
Judging by the color of the sky it's going to be soon.
"Good job in estimating the safe distance" I rest my head against his chest, I can hear his heart pounding fast, all that running while carrying my weight is surly tiring no wonder he stopped for a breath.
"It was nothing compared to what you did" he strokes my hair "you're extraordinary"
I smile at his words "thank you"
Red marks his ears "stop thanking me, it does things to me"
I grin at the memory "you like it"
He laughs "I love it"
"You're so annoying!" I chuckle "let me win for once!" I slam my mouth shut, I'm talking without thinking
He smirks and leans forward "in what? Enlighten me"
I pull his ear like a kid "there is no way I'm telling you!" I try to stand again but he pulls me down.
He scoops me up and rise "I'll leave it for now" he winks at me then sprints, heading to the castle.
