Elias

She wipes the blood from her knives and sheathes them back.
What happened just now didn't only reflect her anger, but also her hurt.
The hurt when she watched her maid die in a horrible way without being able to save her.
"Are you afraid of me?" She asks in a whisper
I walk over to her and start wiping the blood gently from her face "never, not when I know you held one of those knives for me"
"You did the same" she says softly
"I'll always do as long as it's you" I palm her cheek and she leans to the touch, I inhale sharply
"Sylvia" that hope dares to build itself even more
She closes her eyes "I really love it when you say my name"
I grin "I know you do"
"You're not being fair"
"Am I?" I keep stopping myself from wanting more but she makes it so difficult, loving her is drowning me and makes me greedy who is not being fair?
She chuckles and god it's the most beautiful sound I've heard "your ears are red, I wonder why?"
"I wonder that too" I want her. I really do
She draws back and takes my hand then digs her fangs in my wrist for some seconds I wish they would last forever before she lets go and grins at me
I don't know why she did that but it made my heart pound so hard it hurts in a good way and I feel so hot, damn it I want to bite her neck.
I force myself to calm down as she glares at the dead blonde "he will come after me tomorrow" she exclaims
"A death wish, let's blow up this place and leave--"
"No" she cuts me "as soon as we blow it up the humans will definitely attack let's wait until tomorrow" she points upward "the closer the moon is to a full moon the more powerful the werewolves are right? Tomorrow's moon is a quarter moon. Let's take every advantage to us"
I laugh, she is brilliantly dangerous
"Is it that amusing?" She crosses her arms
I flick her forehead "it is. So we just set one on and the whole place will be on fire"
"No that's not how it works" she paces the room "I've talked to Agatha, apparently one bomb won't trigger a chain reaction" she picks up one and points to a metallic ring "see this? It's called a safety pin, pull it and you get an explosion, that's the only way"
"That means we have to pull them all but be far away at the same time. Is that possible?"
Her grin is wide when she says "it is with magic, and you will think twice before questioning mine" she walks ahead of me "for now let's go back and wait till tomorrow" she stops, her eyes fall to the dead body once more "we should probably bury him"
~♥~
"Get some sleep you're going to need it for tomorrow" I say to Elias as soon as we step inside the house
I might be called a monster for it but killing Owen has made me feel less guilty about my failure to save Fiona.
Heat marks my cheeks at a recent memory. Why on earth did I bite his wrist? Did I want to leave a mark or something like that? And why do I even want that? It will heal in seconds! This is so embarrassing but...I don't regret it.
He closes the door and tosses himself on the sofa "any chance that scum bag will come like... right now?"
"No" I lean against my door "he can't be seen near someone's house because if something happens to me he will be the first to be suspected and he also can't send all his men at once that will draw attention, the streets are still busted not to his favor" I shrug "the people already have their eyes on him since that woman and her brother died, and after they saw him trying to shoot me, making a move now is a risk he won't take. He can only wait till the next night to send someone else" it's unlikely to be in the morning he will be easily spotted.
He laughs "your cunning scares me sometimes"
"Thank you" there is something I'm curious about so I ask "can I cast the spell again on you now? Or it should be only during a full moon?"
"You can cast it again as soon as the full moon is gone, my body will seal it then activates it when it's time"
"You should have said so instead of putting yourself through--"
Hold on
"You were with me for months how did you..."
He smiles but it makes my heart twist in guilt "Ikaros was the only one who was willing to project it for me so I had no choice but to hide in the woods every full moon" he looks up at me, his gaze cuts deep through me "so I wouldn't hurt you"
I cover my mouth, all this time I've been clueless and he never said a word. That explains those days when he was in a bad shape and I didn't bother to ask.
So he won't hurt me, even though he had every reason to loathe me.
"I'm sorry"
He stands and walks over to me "don't be"
I shake my head as his hand reaches to mine "don't be sorry" he repeats
"Why you never told me? I know you loathed me but that doesn't mean--"
"I never loathed you"
My eyebrows shoot upward as I meet his eyes "you what? But I--"
"I guess it's not obvious enough to get through your stubbornness is it?" He lifts our hands then bows and kisses my knuckles and suddenly everything is hot
He grins "you're blushing"
"You're seeing things"
"Am I?" He leans closer
"T-turn so I can cast the spell on you" he is a mess in my mind I can't think and I'll be damned I like this mess.
He turns and I palm his back and pour my magic, I say the incantations three times. Elias tenses, curls and uncurls his fist but doesn't do anything. It's much easier now for both of us.
Dizziness strikes once I'm done so I sit on the sofa and hold a hand to my head. I hate to admit it but I'm weakest among the elites.
He sits beside me "I'm sorry"
"Now don't apologize. It's the least I can do for all those times when you were in pain and I couldn't care less" guilt is still twisting my heart
"I don't hold a grudge against you" he splays his arm on my shoulder
"I hold it against myself" my eyes fall to the floor
"This spell takes a good amount of magic yet you project it even though you don't have much" he tilts my chin forcing me to meet his eyes "I couldn't be more grateful for anyone other than you"
It's as if he can read my mind, he always says what I long to hear "thank you"
His eyes widen slightly before he looks away and runs a hand in his hair "can I be greedy for once?"
I blink "what do you mean?"
He leans forward "it's not my right to do this but I can't resist it, you're making it so difficult"
"What--" his face is inches from mine, his hand goes up and tugs me closer then he presses a soft kiss on my forehead.
He draws back, his red cheeks are reflecting mine, his silver eyes are glimmering with emotions that send a shiver down my spine.
What is it called? This pleasant thrill each time he touches me.
His thumb strokes the corner of my lip then down my jaw, a silent plea in his eyes. He leans in again but Agatha opens her door.
Elias stands and whispers "I'll be outside" then he goes out to the yard
Agatha yawns "did I interrupt something?"
Yes "No" I stand and head to my room "thank you for everything you did, we are leaving tomorrow"
