"𝐇𝐢𝐬 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐬 𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐝 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞, 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐦𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐚 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲."

One Week Later

𝙹𝚄𝙽𝙶𝙺𝙾𝙾𝙺 𝙿𝙾𝚅.

"Bye..  Mom and Dad!! I’m leaving" I said hurriedly grabbing my bag ready to leave but Mom stopped me.

"Jungkook take this" she handed me a box. I looked at it confused and then Dad chuckled behind mom.

"Your mom made a ton of food for you guys. She thinks you’ll all starve without it" Dad teased glancing at mom.

I chuckled warmth filling my chest. "Aww..  thanks Mom" I said making her smile but she rolled her eyes playfully at dad causing Dad and me to laugh.

"Oka.!! now really bye!" I hugged both of them before heading out.

"Take care Jungkook"  Dad called after me as I left for Minji’s house.

When I arrived at her house, Minji was already waiting there and quickly hopped before saying heyy into the passenger seat beside me. As I started the car and drove off she spoke her excitement clear in her voice.

"I’m so excited Jungkook. "

I nodded smiling as I kept my eyes on the road. "Yeah" I replied.

"The kids are going to be so happy to see us again." she said.

I nodded again.  Focusing on road ahead Yeah.. so we’re going to the nearby village. There’s a camp organized by us this year like every year.

Every year. we visited a different village bringing medicines, study supplies, food, toys, and clothes for the villagers and kids in the orphanage.

This time it was no different. But we're visiting the nearby village again called Jeonggeo Village. This year Minji and I were in one car while Taehyun and Eunae were in another.

Soobin said he’d drive alone. So we didn't force him. He seems so down these days. As if lost in his own another world.

Lately, I couldn’t help but notice how he was acting strangely especially around Minji. It didn’t make sense. He had told me that he was planning to pursue her yet now he seemed to be avoiding her.

Was I imagining things, or was something else going on beneath the surface? And I also didn't see him talk to Y/N much or visit the farm often.

Speaking of Y/N, I had asked Minji to  indirectly to invite her to come along with us but she refused saying she couldn’t take the day off.

It wasn’t like she couldn’t take one day off right? If she had asked me. I would’ve given her the time off no problem. But she told Minji "My Dear Boss Jeon Jungkook wouldn’t allow it." at that sarcasm tone of her.

That irritated me. Why wouldn’t she just ask? It wasn’t like I would’ve said no. Maybe she just didn’t want to come and that’s why she used me as an excuse. The thought lingered in my mind making me feel uneasy.

I didn’t like how distant she had become lately and I couldn’t figure out why. Even though Daisy will be around but I think she was distancing herself, or perhaps ignoring me or whatever it is I can't quit figure it out.

Minji must have noticed the change in my expression because she looked over at me and asked "Are you okay?"

I forced a smile and nodded. "Yeah.. just thinking about stuff."
