"What do you want, David Ronald?" I shriek with that gun pointed at me. I have no idea why in the world is he here and most importantly, what does he want from me?

That's a rhetorical question which is seemingly fluttering around my mind. It is extraordinarily awkward to see him catching up with me again. Isn't he supposed to be in jail or something? I remember him getting a 10-year penalty in jail the last time he almost tried to kill me.

This could only mean one thing: he probably committed jailbreak, but the fact that prisons these days' have extreme security, it is almost impossible for him to escape.

As I deeply glare in terror at his malevolent face, he darts an even malicious look at me and says, "Hmm ... did Lara Jacob forget about my upcoming revenge?"

"Wait ... revenge?" Maisie asks confusingly. I guess I never told her about the incident where he tried to kill me six months ago and he promised revenge. "What revenge?"

David fills his gun with bullets, and the fearful tension rises in me; making my nerves fill with anxiety. I know where this is heading ... "Of course get rid of her!" he yells.

Maisie is literally freaking out; I have to get her out of here. "I whisper, "Run!!"

And we take off at the speed of light, but another thing; David is chasing us.

"Where are we running to?" Maisie asks. Well, I have literally no idea where we are going.

"To safety," I reply; not a good response technically. We might end up in a hazardous area, but I keep running no matter what. Hopefully, I'll find somewhere safe to hide.

David continues to run with all his might. He's nearly catching up to us, so I tell Maisie to turn left. The way we're heading leads to a small fit where only me and Maisie can pass. Surely not him.

We quickly squeeze in between the buildings leading to another street called Rodeo Drive. I have no idea how in the world the mayor remembers all these street names; it's almost impossible.

Several minutes later, we head on to the Los Angeles Airport. Not a good hideout, but at least we lost David. I sigh with relief and so does Maisie. We exchange accomplishing glances and confidently enter the airport. I can already smell the fresh scent of disinfectants which kind of gives me a nice environment to relax in. We sit on the reclining chairs and drink our water bottles.

Looking at Maisie finishing her only water bottle I mutter, "Told you!"

"I can handle it girl," Maisie replies wryly. As if, she doesn't know how long we'll have to walk back home. "At least we're safe."

"Same here, who knows what would've happened to us," I keep thinking about it continuously, and still have fear if he shows up again. To get that out of my head, I say, "Maybe we should stay here for the night, it's much safer."

"Great idea. By the way, I'm really curious, why did you want to go on an escape plan, exactly?"

I didn't tell her yet, and wouldn't want to tell anyone, but I guess it's kind of awkward when you just tell your friend to go on an escape mission without telling them the reason. I reply, "Well, the thing is that my mom has been very indignant with me for the past few days and I didn't want to live with that anymore, so I just ... escaped."

She looks at me in terror after I finished and says, "I understand, happens a lot I guess."

"It's fine, no need to worry. It's my concern, not yours."

"Okay then, so where shall we sleep?"

"Here, these chairs do recline," I reply and slowly recline my chair backwards; I instantly fall asleep.
