The morning of my fourteenth birthday started off ... really awkward.
First of all, I just woke up from my three-hour-long unconsciousness, second, Maisie is fainted beside me and third, we are in a closed big box. Plus, I feel like I'm flying in a plane since this box is moving very weirdly. I will just have to wait for Maisie to wake up to tell me what's going on since she is the one who probably bought me here.
------------------------
I don't think she's even going to blink an eye open; she's probably dehydrated due to lack of water. I should perhaps rehydrate her with some of my water; I have bought a lot of them. I unzip my bag and pull out one of my water bottles and gulp a whole bottle into her mouth. I hope this works.
Within seconds, Maisie slowly shifts her eyelids partly open to recognize my figure staring into her face. She gets up slowly and takes a stand, "Where are we?" she says.
"You tell me. I have no idea where you led us into," I reply questionably.
"Oh, I think I was trying to hide from David at the airport and you passed out suddenly, so I found this box outside the airport and hid in it."
"What sort of box?"
"I couldn't really tell, and why are we moving as if we are in a plane?"
"I have no idea. We should probably get out of here and find out," I say, thinking of a way to get out of here.
"But how? Carry you all the way up?"
"Yes," now that is an idea. I slowly step unto Maisie and push open the cover of the box. I get out, pulling Maisie out too.
"Wait ... we are in a plane!" Maisie shrieks. "And this was an air cargo box I hid in. Oh no, what have I done?!"
I'm literally freaking out too; I can't believe we are actually in a plane. I mean, I totally hate those things since I have aerophobia, but not only that, I am most frightened about the fact that we don't even know which country we are headed to.
With Maisie looking at my fearful face, she starts to cry in a rhythmic tone which clearly signifies that she thinks it's her fault. I try to soothe her and say, "It's not your fault, Maisie."
"It is, it clearly is. Don't you see we're heading to another country? And now your parents will be worried and your birthday will be ruined and it's all because of me," she cries even more than ever; I had never seen her like this before.
"It's not, Maisie. I know that you had no other choice, you just had to because you wanted to stay alive. Plus, it's technically my fault since I'm am the one who told you to go on an escape mission in the first place, if I didn't tell you to do that then, none of this would've happened."
I guess that calmed her down, but now I really feel guilty for leaving my house in the first place. I miss my parents; I miss everyone. What have I gotten myself into?
The pilot speaks on the speaker, "We are an hour away from reaching London and will experience turbulence right now due to the unfortunate weather in this area."
