I didn't want to, but I had to.
I sit on the kitchen island of Lara's birthday-decorated house, trying to understand why in the world did my parents come here. They are technically having a conversation with Lara's parents, who are police officers like mine, about 'The Mysterious Disappearance of Lara'. I think they should totally amend that into a title.
Anyway, I continuously watch and giggle at Mrs. Jenny's petrified face. She has no idea on how many adventures Lara goes on, so there's literally nothing for her to worry about I mean, she will come back. It's not like she's in another country or something; that's almost impractical.
Several minutes after listening to their conversation, I'm bored. All they are talking about is where she could've gone to.
With that tediousness soaring interminably around my axon, I proceed my hands through my pocket and take out my iPhone 10. It's pretty much an old phone now since iPhone 14 is coming out this September which I'm totally going to buy. Who knows, it might be holographic technology!
I swipe through the iconized apps on my screen and press on the game 'Minecraft®'. I am obsessed with that game; I literally have over ten worlds on that thing.
I move my avatar around my world. I sometimes like to explore my worlds and find legendary animals out of nowhere. I also do mining in my world a lot and discover what could be under there. I mostly found gems and secret lava areas which is absolutely cool and helps in buying extra equipment to make the house striking, which is why I love this game.
I continue to delve into my world and discover my lava world. It turns out I accidently fell into the lava, so I had to respawn and find that place over again. I'm not used to my worlds yet; they are so similar in every place that I can't remember.
Thinking about that lava explosion that just happened makes me think about the two incidents lately. First, the school exploded. Next, an apartment crashed. I remember hearing my parents the other day when they were talking about how these events are coincidental and someone might be up to this which also kind of makes it odd by the fact Lara is missing on that same day. It's an unsolved puzzle I guess.
Abruptly, the door was knocked on extremely loud. Who could that be?
Mr. Jacob, Lara's dad, who is wearing a shirt imprinted 'Lara' on it, swiftly makes his way to the door and opens it widely. His shirt reminded me of Lara's birthday and I now kind of feel empathetic towards Lara's parents of the fact that it's their daughter's birthday and she is missing.
A detectable woman with a most miserable-looking face enters and says uneasily, "Have you seen Maisie?" It's her mom, Mrs. Scarlett, probably in dismay since her daughter has gone missing which makes it even coincidental that someone is responsible for all this, but I have no idea who.
"No we haven't, we're actually talking about Lara's disappearance too. Maybe Maisie has gone with her?" Mr. Jacob suggests.
"Hmm, maybe. Let's discuss more on this topic. Come join us," My mom says.
Well, I am left to solve this mission now as my peculiarity increases with those related events. Maybe I should go do some detective work of my own.
I will, and I do as I open the door secretly and escape to find some clues. Detective Richard proceeds forward.
