We walk through the streets feeling chilly, with the winds trespassing and the trees moaning.
I dig my hands in my pocket, trying to keep the heat into my hands. I zip my jacket all the way to the top, almost covering me to the top of my nose. Only my eyes were visible, with my hat covering my hair and ears. I looked like some sort of burglar now, I just hope the police officers at the place we're going don't think I'm a criminal.
My tediousness caught the mouth of me, asking my tongue to say some words, "Are we nearly there yet?"
"Almost!" Lara says favorably.
"You keep saying that. How much, exactly?" I asked eagerly.
"Just next to this street. Can't you see the demolished building to your right?" I look, and found my answers. I guess I was too caught up watching Tik-Toks on my phone. "Don't think I didn't notice you stuck up to your phone."
"Uh ... yeah!" I agree gruesomely.
We approach the devoured building where it is crowded with an excessive amount of people. I don't have a good feeling about this.
"How the heck are we going to go there now?" I ask in an indignant tone.
"Let's just umm ... ask people to move I guess?" she replies anxiously.
We dart, asking people to make our way, towards the front of where the people are standing. It took us hours to do that, especially when some people were disagreeing. We end up to some strap, blocking our way, labelled 'Crime Scene, Do Not Enter'.
"I guess we can't enter this place," Lara says emotionally. Goosebumps, now it's my turn to think of something.
I look up and down, left and right, looking at our surroundings. Something was jiggling all the way to my brain, it was ... an insane plan. "Hey Lara, I have an idea!" I say sardonically, staring at her emerald green eyes.
She faces up towards me, curious, "What is it?"
"There's our way into that place," I point towards the right. Lara looks puzzled, so I explain more, "You see that ladder over there? That leads to the top of a building?"
"Yeah, I do but wait ... Oh no, you're not going to-"
"I will ... and you're coming with me," I interrupt with Lara looking concerned, maybe she hadn't done parkour in her life, I can see that.
"Are. You. Crazy?!" she roars. She doesn't look comfortable with climbing up that building and jumping to another one to get down the other side.
I argue back, "Oh come on! Don't be such a scaredy-cat. You're not afraid of your own parents, are you?"
"Um, no. I'm not"
"Then?"
"Okay fine, but I'm only doing it because you asked, you'll be blamed if I get caught."
"Okay fine, Lara. Anyways follow me, I'm an expert at parkour!" I say as I rush towards the building with Lara following behind me.
"Parkour?!" she shouts in shock, "Isn't that illegal?"
"We're just jumping from one building to another not more than it!" I quarrel back. We've been going on a debate lately.
"Ok then, but I'm putting my trust in you, Richard."
We steadily make our way towards the building and nervously climb up the ladder, leading to the top of the building. We slowly progress our way to the top, with a ravishing view seen from above.
