This is ridiculous.

I can't believe my mom, she actually eavesdropped! Not only that, but she also looked at the theories I wrote.

Now she's waiting for Dad and Lara's parents to come, so they can discuss more about it. Ugh ... I should've known Mom would ask answers from me. Now I am going to sit ridiculously in between adults talking about my findings as if I'm their suspect. I didn't even get involved in Lara and Maisie's disappearance in the first place. Plus, these are just theories, not evidence.

------------------------

My mom enters the living room with all those expected people along with Addilyn. They sit on the sofas and look willingly at me.

With those annoying stares, I rudely say, "What?"

"Richard, speak politely," my mom warns.

"Yeah, okay."

"And formally," seriously, does she really think I'm getting some sort of interview?

Mr. Jacob reads through my theories and says, "How do you know David committed all the explosions?"

"Well, he did those explosions because he wanted to get rid of Lara for what she did six months ago," I hesitated.

"What did she do six months ago?"

"You probably know," I say, but my mom gives a disappointed look at me so I add, "The time where he kidnapped Addilyn, and Lara stopped him. Then David said that he was going to get revenge."

"Oh, I see."

I expect a bit more from him but Mrs. Jenny continues instead, "What about the apartment when it was crushed, it didn't involve Lara in it."

"Yeah ..." I can see the tension rising in my mom, but I just can‎'t help myself. "... it technically did though. He wanted to destruct the building and make it a huge accident, so that he can keep you all busy, resulting in making you not have time to pick up Lara. I assumed that he wanted to attack her while you weren't there, but it's a good thing we left to find you."

"So that's why you were on top of a building yesterday?" my mom eagerly asks.

As expected, she found the answer; I knew it. "Probably," I say blankly.

"How do you know about the explosion at the park? And how do you think it led to Maisie and Lara getting lost?" My dad asks.

"A police officer told me. I thought that Lara must've been to Central Park since she always goes there every midnight after something bad has happened to her, but I don't really know what did though," I answer and Mrs. Jenny gets a concerned expression right after those words; that kind of gives me the suspicion that she did something to her. I continue to explain, "Yet I do know that David was there and he committed an explosion just to scare and kill them. They didn't die, so they possibly ran for their lives and ended up getting lost."

"Okay," my dad says in return. I expect a bit more than that since I said an impressively long answer.

I still continue my suspicion against Mrs. Jenny that she had something to do with this; that left Lara leaving the house at midnight.

She then finally says, "Oh no, I think she must've left the house because of my anger with her ... Oh god, why did I do this?" that's when she gets super concerned like this is all her fault.

My mom then tries to calm her down, "It's okay Jenny, I'm sure she hasn't gone too far," I don't agree with that point because one time Lara ended up on another planet. "Did you try calling her?"

"Yes, but no answer. I think her phone is out of battery."

"Hmm ... maybe we should search in areas where she-" Addilyn starts to throw a tantrum and interrupts Mom. Mrs. Jenny leaves the room and starts to soothe her. Now it's just awkward silence in this room for the next few minutes. The others are just taking down my theories.

------------------------

They finish and get up, getting ready to leave, "Okay thanks, Richard. This will be really helpful. Please report to us if you have any more theories," Mr. Jacob suggests.

"Yeah, okay," I say, not in a mood to accept the 'reporting to police'. I don't want them to steal any more of my theories. That literally means that they are committing plagiarism since I didn't permit them to use them; my mom just forced me.

Everyone, except my mom, heads for the door and exits.

All that leaves are my mom, who is scanning through the theories, and me, who is literally having a heart attack after what I just remembered. Lara and Maisie could've gone anywhere. Not just in the city, around the universe. I figured David might know where they are. My curiosity gave me the idea of finding David and asking answers.

I get up, told my mom that I'm to going to Alan's and head out to start even more detective work

This could possibly be calamitous.
