I can't believe I actually slept in a police station.
First of all, this police station is not how I expected it to look. I expected it to be more official-like, but it's just plain white with dim lighting and a bunch of desks. It's like nothing compared to my parents' police station.
Second of all, I have stayed in this police station for eleven hours straight and the police haven't even done anything to me. They just goofed around and took care of me as if I were in a daycare. Seriously, this is not an ideal place for keeping teenagers at all.
I figured that I needed to do something. I can't just stay in one place waiting for help to come; I had to think of something. Plus, my flight leaves at 10:30 am and that's not far from now. Maisie probably left the motel too since we were supposed to leave this time. Now I just have hope for an escape plan, but I just need to know where I'll escape from.
I glare at my surroundings and spot a telephone. This would be perfect to call somebody since my phone's dead. I head over to the telephone and think of someone to call. If I call my parents, then that'll lead to complete chaos plus my mom's indignation. They would most certainly have the freaks for their life, so I decided it would be better to call Richard. He has been with me in almost all the situations I encountered, but not this one. It's most likely for him to figure this all out already. I know Richard and when it comes to him, he's really smart in detective work.
I dial Richard's number, hoping he'll answer as I'm calling from a random phone number.
He then answers in an instant, "Hello, wrong number."
"Wait!" I shout out.
"Lara? Is that you?"
"Yes it's me and I need to warn you something."
"About the fact that you ran away from David and ended up in another country?"
I knew he had it figured, "Yes, that. How do you know?"
"Well, maybe I accidently made a deadly plan to find David's hideout and seek answers."
"Woah," I can't believe he actually risked his life just to know where I was.
"Yup, I did. And by the way, did you know that I'm thinking to go in an air cargo box to London?"
"What? Really?"
"Yup, it will be easier to get back home together."
"That's great! Thanks." I can't wait for him to be here. At least we have a brave person by our side.
"No problem, you're missing out a lot on school and your parents are really concerned about you.,"
------------------------
I continue to talk with him about how I disappeared and my mom's frustration until he had to go, "Anyway I better get going. It's 11 pm here and I have to pack."
"Okay, bye!" And that's when I end the call. At least I have some positivity to look forward to which led me a way out of the police station. I take a grip of the wall and climb to the window where I escape the police station.
