Nothing like another day where I can't sleep. That was such a bummer that I wasn't been able to do the auditions today, due to the fact there was an unexpected fire. Yet, my curiosity had grown. The school had just called my parents two hours ago that I'll go to another school tomorrow; which is bewildering. I have never been to a public school in my life, yet that's where I'll do the rest of my middle-schooling from now on. The name is 'Los Angeles Middle School' which is already giving me the creeps that it is an official school from the government. At least all of my friends and teachers will be there, and that's all that matters.

Okay, I can't sleep again which totally is frustrating since my mom banned me from Addilyn's room for the night. Therefore, I had no place left to go, a whole big, nasty bummer.

Richard is probably declared a hero now ever since he escaped the school right at the moment it exploded. I wished I could be there too as my mom is extremely bad-tempered with me right now; she is furious at me for going to Addilyn's room in the middle of the night and waking her. If I had been through a situation like Richards', then I would definitely be treated like a queen and not a savage beast.

From now on, I will stick unto Richard whenever there is an emergency. He always ends up being an emperor after every big event.

Anyway, I'm really bored. My tedious, curious nerves told me to get up and grab some chocolate. My mom keeps a bowl full of 'Ferrero Rocher' chocolates, and I am keen to grab one. I sneakily stepped out of my room, and slowly went down the stairs as if someone was in a gloomy forest. I kept my eye on in front of me, making sure no one's there. My mom and sister are sleeping, and my dad is at work. Perfect!

I trailed along the path, leading to the kitchen. I entered slowly, with my eyes directed to the bowl of chocolate. I rush to the kitchen island, where that legendary bowl is kept, and immediately grabbed one. Step one complete, step two: go back to my room. Coming down to the kitchen was easy but going up is harder.

I took a step outside of the kitchen and checked if no one was there. I took a deep breath and slowly ascended the stairs. "Lara, what are you doing up this late?"

I screamed ... and ran all the way to my room. It looks like my dad's shift ended early today, so he's back early. I quickly dashed up the stairs and raced along the hallway to my room, where my dad followed me.

"Hey Lara, I didn't mean to scare you. I knew you got the chocolates and-" he says calmly. Looks like I've been stalked.

"Don't tell mom!" I interrupt.

"Don't worry, I won't," he chuckles.

The door then slams open, "Lara, why on earth did you scream?" my mom curiously asked.

"Don't worry, Jenny, she just had a bad dream," my dad replied. It's a good thing he covered up for me; I am not in a mood to speak to my mom right now.

"Anyways, I'll leave, you coming?"

"I'll stay with Lara for some while," I'm glad he does, as we sit together and eat our chocolates. That's a relief which made me go to bed.
