My alarm I set woke me up, and I feel so tired, I look at the time, 12:00 a.m. Thursday. I nearly roll out of my bed and put on some clothes, I have to be as quiet as possible, but I'm so excited. Yesterday, Chloe couldn't tell me if Trinity and Michael passed, so I had to wait until today's meeting. I brush my teeth, and go downstairs.
No one is downstairs, so I make some breakfast, and pack up my bag of things I bring for work, just in case the meeting runs really long somehow. I read the time, 12:20. I need to go, because the ride there is about 30 minutes. I open the semi-creaky door as slow as possible, and close it as quiet as I can. Oh crap, I need to leave a note so my parents don't flip out.
I go back inside and write a little note, left work really early, we have a mtg. with boss. Love ya. I finished and closed and locked the door. I got on my bike, it was cold and quiet outside. I honestly don't even know if I'm allowed out this late, hopefully no cops decide to show up.
Chloe told me what the building looks like, an obsolete warehouse by the charging station for the cars.
I see the building and two people standing outside the building, must be some serious business. I look at my watch, 12:55. I get off my bike and stand it and walk towards the men.
"Morning sirs." I tell them
"Name please." They have sunglasses, at 12 in the morning, what's the point?
I look at them, "James Delgado."
They look at a list and look at me, or at least they look like they are.
"Yeah, you're clear, go on in."
They open the doors for me, and Chloe is the only one in there.
"Hi James, sorry we had to do it this early." She says
"Morning, it's fine." I respond
"You want some coffee, or something to drink?" She asks
"Water will be fine." I've never really been into drinking coffee
She gets a water for me, "Thanks."
She looks at me and smiles, "Please, sit down."
I sit down in the cushioned chair.
"So, you probably want to know how Trinity and Michael did." She tells me
"Yep."
"Well, they did both make it, but they have to improve on a lot of stuff." She says
"Well, I'm just happy they made it." I tell her
I see people start to come in, and there is only two big round tables, but they are big.
"Good morning everyone, please find a seat." Chloe says
I look at my watch and see it's 1:05, so there are people late.
The two men walk in, "Everyone's accounted for, go ahead and start."
I look around me, I count roughly 100 people.
"Good morning everyone, sorry we had to make it early," Chloe says, "Today's meeting will hopefully be short, if you have any questions, please talk to me after."
"Okay, so as you know our leaders have gone a bit out of hand, they're controlling our lives. And that's why we have brought you all here today, there are still at least another 100 being tested."
"I've devised a plan that we can go by, and it's in a nutshell, so we can have later meeting explaining each step of the plan," She says as she pulls out a map with all sorts of marking around it.
