Chapter 35

The gates unlock, Joseph waits by the tables. I see all of our team step out.

If we don't go to plan, we're screwed.

"Guys, please come down here. You're being transported today." He acts as if he's not a part of the plan.

We organize around him, and he unlocks all of our cuffs, no other guards notice. We wait there while he goes to talk to the boss. I look at Chloe, she looks serious. Everyone looks serious, and this is. We are literally fighting for our lives. Joseph comes back in, and notions for us to start walking. He follows us and stays quiet, I look up and see everyone one else, including my mom and Trinity.

We walk outside, "You guys ready?" Joseph asks

We stay quiet, "I guess that's a yes." We continue to walk until one guard stops us, we all look nervous.

"What are you doing." He asks

"Transporting the prisoners, they've been sent to the Penitentiary." Joseph calmly says

He looks at him funny for a minute, "Okay, go ahead."

That was close.

He opens the gate, and I see at least fifteen trucks, I see a few jets as well. I look at Eric, he looks back at me. We both see the jets, Joseph leads us into the farthest truck. He finds his keys, and unlocks the back.

"Get in." He says. "I'm gonna take you to the front of the building." We listen to him, and get in. The trucks are much nicer than ours.

"Actually, I need all of you to get in a truck and drive it to the front." He says, we listen to him. I find a truck and turn on the engine.

I never formally learned how to drive, but I understand the basics. I follow Joseph as he goes outside, we all follow him. It's only a minute until we reach the front, he stops before the windows, we all get out. Joseph opens his truck again, and there's a pile of rifles

"Grab a gun, and follow my lead." Joseph orders us

We line up amd grab guns, I load mine and follow Joseph to the solid door. He grabs his keys, and hands us all masks. I put mine on, to avoid being seen. I watch as Joseph slowly puts the key in the door, he bursts in, we follow him.

"Hands up!" He commands the front office workers, they comply and come to the front.

"I need one of you to watch these two." Joseph asks, someone stands by them and notions for us to keep going.

We follow Joseph down the hallway, until we reach the end, this is where the boss works. I hear two voices, Joseph bursts in and shoots both of them dead, I see the judge the floor.

"Two for one." I say

"It's gonna get interesting in a minute, it's the guards break time I think." Joseph says

We run out of the office, and walk into the jailhouse, no one is in here, it must be the outside time. We run the opposite direction farther into the jail, I see guards talking far off.

"Take your positions, find a spot to hide in." Joseph whispers, I run to a propped up table.

Joseph pops his gun and head up, he takes fire on the two conversing guards, they drop to the ground, other guards come running over, and ready their guns.

Joseph gets up again, this time we all follow his lead and begin to shoot the guards, most of them die on first impact, but some manage to hide. It becomes a waiting game.
