Chapter 19

"Good morning guys." Chloe says, as everyone circles around her

I try to look for Trinity and Michael, I can't find them. I walk around, Trinity is probably in the front.

But where's Michael?

I push my way into the front, and bump into Trinity.

"James!" Trinity says, excited. She hugs me

"Hey Trinity."

"I'm so glad you made it here alive! I was worried." She said

We turn towards Chloe, "We've set up a launch day, August 1st, I expect us to be ready by then."

People start to mutter.

"Yes, I know that's pretty close, but I think we can do it. You guys are the elite, the best of the best. It shouldn't take too long to prepare." Chloe says

"And to Trinity and her group, welcome. And we're glad you made it." Chloe says

"Likewise." Trinity says

"Okay, so for the next four months, we will be training, obviously. My team and I will evaluate your skills in different situations. And from there, we'll separate all of you into groups to work on your weaknesses." Chloe says

"Or that's the plan at least." Noah says walking up to the platform

"Guys, this is Noah. He's part of my team, or staff, in fact, why doesn't my entire staff come up here?" I look around, I make eye contact with Chloe, she signals me on.

I walk onto the platform along with a few others.

"These are the people you want to ask questions to. These are my best guys, they can help you." Chloe says

She pats on Noah's neck, "This is Noah, he's our sharpshooter. He'll be running the shooting stations."

"This is Eric, he is our aviation expert. He'll take a select few people to teach them how to fly."

"This is Yahn, our mechanic-slash-head driver. He can help with repairing engines."

She goes down the row, until she comes to me.

"This is James, he will be testing you guys mentally, to see what you got. Mental strength is just important as physical, so take him seriously."

Wow never new I was good at that.

"This is my staff, please give them a warm welcome." Hands clap as we walk down the platform

"Now, this warehouse is where you'll be staying for a bit. We need you to be here because you'll be safe here. And you'll also be able to get to know more people." Chloe says

"Any questions?" She asks

"When is the test?" Someone asks

"One week. So prepare yourself however you need to, any other questions?"

"None? Okay, well you'll sleep over there," She points towards the bunks, "You are dismissed. Thanks guys."

I follow Trinity, she turns to talk to me.

"So you are gonna mentally test these guys?" She asks

"I guess, probably because I have a 'good voice.'"

"Well, I think you'll do great. Now let's find Michael, he's around here somewhere."

"James! I haven't seen you in so long? What's going on?" Michael excitingly asks
