Chapter 15

"Welcome to Hell Day," Chloe says, "As we approach the targeted day we attack the government, we need to train."

She turns to Eric, another leader, "Today, you will be running a 3 mile run, you can walk some, but you have 3 hours to finish it." He says

"After that we will run through a couple cardio work outs." Chloe says

"Where do we run?" Someone asks

"Good question." Chloe says, "You will run on the road that circles the mountain we are in three times, it's just around a three mile run."

We all walk out, I stretch my legs, I haven't always been fond of running, nor have I always been the fastest.

We all find the drawn out line,"Go!" Chloe shouts

We all start to run, it's gonna be a long 3 miles.

I start to huff and puff, one half lap left. Luckily, it's stayed cold this entire time.

C'mon James, we've gone this far, just finish it.

I'm one of the faster ones, only a few people are ahead of me.

My lungs start to burn, I feel like giving up.

You didn't get this far to give up.

Noah catches up to me, "Let's go James! We don't have much left to go!"

I listen to him, I can see the finish line, people surround it, bent over, probably trying to breathe. I muster up the remnants of what energy I have left, and continue. The line approaches.

I sprint, or what I consider a sprint at this point, to the end, I lung to the finish line, and slow down, breathing really hard.

Chloe comes over to me, "Good job!"

I look up and manage a smile while panting, "Thanks."

"Wasn't so hard after all?" She asks

"Are you-"

"I'm just joking, good job. When you think you're ready, there's some food over there." She says

I told you I could do it.

I see Eric in front of Tristan, running. I hear something in the distance, it doesn't sound good.

I walk over to Chloe, "Do you hear that?"

She pauses to hear, "Yeah, I do." She walks off to go talk to the others about it

It doesn't sound good, they sound like big jets, and we don't have any jets flying right now. I walk over to Chloe, she looks nervous.

I hear on her radio, "Enemies have just entered our radar, take cover immediately, they're armed." I panic

"Everyone in the trucks! We have to get everyone, no questions!" Chloe shouts, people start to climb in the trucks.

In a matter of minutes, everyone at the finish line is in the trucks. We drive off to go get the other runners.

It doesn't take very long to get everyone.

"Chloe get out of there, they're going to attack us any second!" The man in the radio says

"We are, we're driving to base, open the doors!" Chloe says
