And they did, Kaizel sobered at the thought. The memories inching into his head. She had been in pain at the end, begging them to come back to her. She had been afraid and her fear had been the reason why they could see past the haze. Still, he knew that the incident would scar her just like it had to him. He felt sick at the thought of what he had done, his stomach churning as his body went cold. He was disgusted by himself, so disgusted that it hurt to think.
"I would have done it a hundred fucking times, as much as you needed me to as long as you two were alive." She promised, glaring at them. "You did so much more for me, this sort of pain is nothing."
"The poison didn't hurt—"
"Don't lie."
"You shouldn't have done it, how can you look at us now?" Keegan wept, his sweet voice soft and sad. "We raped you. We didn't listen to your pain, we're worthless soulmates. We didn't protect you—"
"If you say that again I'm going to slap you! There was consent! I consented to it!" She growled and then simmered into a forlorn look. "I didn't care. I only wanted the two of you healthy and alive. I wanted to live the rest of my life with both of you and all the two of you thought of was how to fucking leave me!"
"Of course we didn't!" Kaizel said, rubbing circles on her skin. She was a mess of emotions that threatened to explode. Was she on her period or something? "We love you!"
"Then apologise!" She pursed her lips together in her almost pout. It would have been cute if not for the fact that her eyes were still glowing with her anger. "Apologise for keeping the secrets! For not telling me everything, for trying to control my decisions because you have no right to dictate my life! Promise me you'll tell me everything from now on."
"We're sorry." Keegan gave in, pressing kisses to her hand.
"And we promise," Kaizel nodded to her.
She seemed to deflate, sinking into their embrace and then she glanced up at them with tears in her eyes. "I'm sorry for running out on the two of you instead of letting you explain," she whispered. "I should have pushed for more answers, should have begged for more words. I'm sorry for being a mean bitch and kicking Kaizel in the balls."
"Are we still on that?" Kaizel laughed shaking his head. "It's fine, my balls are fine."
"They wouldn't have been if I kicked a little harder," she admitted. "You might have ended up shooting blanks and then I might not have this kid because 2 tries instead of 1 is a huge difference." Kaizel froze, his mind spinning over her words. He gaped at her, his jaws dropping open as he stared.
Keegan managed to speak first. "Kid?"
"Can't you smell my scent?" She asked, looking confused. "Your dragon doctors check by sniffing my belly. It's creepy as hell, but I let them do it because they said they had to until you two were awake—"
Kaizel didn't let her continue, nudging his nose at her skin. The sweet floral was there, but beneath it was a different scent. A milky, wet scent that was strongest at her chest. His heart was hammering in his chest at the smell of breast milk. His eyes darting up to her.
No fucking way! It was difficult for deities to have children because of the battling powers. It took hundreds of years for couples to conceive and Eden was pregnant on their first fucking try? That was insane! His heart began to pound, running at a million miles per hour.
"It's not actually the belly," Keegan explained although he was still slack-jawed. "It's your—"
"Cunt," Kaizel answered, he met her eyes. No other dragon would dare to scent her at such a private area for fear of angering her soulmates. It was the reason why the doctors had only sniffed at her belly to search for the child. "May we?"
He pointed to the apex of her thighs and she flushed, nodding quickly, the red travelling across her cheeks. He pushed her thighs open, pulling down her panties to let the scent permeate the air. The sweet raspberry of her arousal was there, and for a moment Kaizel feared that he would go crazy again, but he didn't. The fire was there and his cock was hard from the smell, but he could control it. He sighed, pressing his nose to her nether lips and inhaled.
Within her was a foreign scent, one that filled him with the need to protect her. It was a nice fragrance, the smell of blueberries, pine and applewood. Kaizel blinked, sniffing again and Eden giggled at his touch. He turned to look at his twin, moving aside to let him smell her.
"I'm not sure," Kaizel babbled as he watched Keegan sniff for their kid. "I think I smelled—"
"There's three," Keegan confirmed, the more sensitive of the two. "One girl, two boys." He sat back staring at her openly, still in shock. Eden grinned and Kaizel swore he had never seen anything more beautiful than the smile on her lips.
"Triplets?"
Keegan nodded, closing his mouth. "Yes, not from the same egg. The boys are identical. Our daughter from another egg." Our daughter. Kaizel's chest filled with joy at his words, his smile spreading across his cheeks so wide that they hurt. Keegan was crying, happy tears that streamed down his cheeks as he grinned and laughed.
"You're pregnant!" Kaizel repeated, his voice stupidly happy, but he didn't give a fuck.
Eden laughed, giggling at his reaction. He crawled up to her and then he stole her lips into a kiss that portrayed everything he felt for her. One that was soft, sweet and warmer than the sun on his skin and tasted like melted sugar. When he pulled back Keegan took her lips into a kiss just as sweet as his to hers. They kissed again and again, and still, Kaizel wanted more, but as he dozed, drowsy and filled with love. He kissed her belly, a bright grin on his face.
"I love you." He whispered, rubbing her belly with his hand.
"I love you," Keegan echoed, pressing a kiss to her belly too.
And Eden couldn't help the tears that dripped down her cheeks, her love for them brimming in her chest.
"I love you too."
THE END.
A/N: Hello my dear friends!♥
I hope you enjoyed reading this story which was actually a challenge for myself. I think I completed this book in a month (because I was rushing to University...It was to prove to myself that I can finish a project when I put my mind to it. And I did.)
Honestly, there were parts of this story that I hated, and thus I personally think that this story isn't one of my best works. I had something very, very different planned, with Eden teasing the twins constantly until they gave in, but the story changed on its own (I swear my characters write themselves). I found myself writing all that drama and angst without even planning for it (had to go back to the top to fix a few plot holes because of this). But that's probably why I love to write. XD
