"He finally asked you out?" JJ grins.

"Mm-hmm." Jessica nods, nervously sipping on her coffee.

"Ugh, finally!" Penelope exclaims. "God, it was exhausting watching you two pine over each other and not do anything."

"I wasn't that obvious." Jessica frowns.

"Yes, you were." The two blondes argue. Jessica pouts.

"Whatever." The brunette mumbles. 

"So where are you guys going?" JJ asks.

"Just out for dinner. We'll probably go on a walk after or something." Jessica says.

"And have a sleepover..." Penelope suggestively raises her eyebrows.

"He'll still probably sleep on the couch or something. And I'm sure it'll remain sex free." Jessica says.

"Yeah, Reid doesn't strike me as the hook up on the first date type of guy." Penelope says.

"So, what are you gonna wear?" JJ asks.

"I don't know, that's why you two are here, genius. I'm nervous." Jessica whines.

"You're nervous? You hang out with him all the time. You're basically glued to each other." Penelope says, JJ nodding in agreement.

"I know, but-- but as friends, you know? Tonight could lead to... to more than that. I don't wanna do the wrong thing and make him lose all attraction or anything." Jessica says.

"Trust me, honey, nothing could turn that man away from you." Penelope assures. "But we will serve as your fairy godmothers and help you. Now, let's get digging through this closet."

"My man!" Derek grins, clapping Spencer on the shoulder. "You finally asked her out. It's about time."

"Yeah, but... I don't know. Maybe it was a mistake." Spencer says.

"No. No mistake, I promise. She's crushing on you just as much, you two will be fine." Derek assures. "How'd it go? Asking her out?"

"I chickened out originally and almost left, but-- but she opened the door. It-- I couldn't get the words out for a minute, I think she started to think I was having a stroke or something." He says making Derek chuckle. "After she agreed, I-I thanked her."

"You thanked her?" Derek snickers.

"Yeah. Was that wrong? I feel like that was wrong." Spencer frowns.

"It, uh..." Derek chuckles. "It's unique, I'll say that."

Spencer frowns.

"It's all right, hey, she didn't change her mind, did she?" Derek asks.

"No." Spencer shakes his head.

"Exactly. Knowing Jess, she thought it was adorable." Derek says.

"The thing is I... I don't know what to do." Spencer says.

"What do you mean?" Derek asks.

"On a date. I-I've never really been on one." Spencer says, his cheeks heating up at the admission. 

"Really?" Derek feigns shock. The sarcasm completely going over the genius' head, Spencer nods. "Well, you took her to that hockey game. That was a date, right?"

"I... I guess, kind of. But... but we were still just friends. And we were at a sports game so most of the time was just her explaining the game to me." Spencer says. "I don't think she needs to spend this date explaining food to me. I know about food."
