They get off the jet, JJ being first.

"Jim Griffith." A man greets.

"Hi. Jennifer Jareau." She shakes his hand. "Thanks for meeting us here."

"Thanks for taking us on so quickly." Jim says.

"Yeah. The faster we get here, the faster we can help stave off panic." JJ says.

"I hear that." Jim says.

"What can you tell us about the university?" Spencer asks.

"It's small, tight knit, dorms are still single sex. Draws from all over the country, but students are mostly the arty type." Jim explains.

"Have you increased uniform presence on campus?" Derek asks.

"Yeah. Doubled it." Jim says.

"Any other measures?" Emily asks.

"I got security shuttles running 24/7, and as of tonight, I've imposed a 10:00 curfew." Jim says.

"We need a corner of your precinct so we can set up shop." Hotch says.

"You got it. You need to get to the hotel first?" Jim asks.

"No. Spree killings in a confined area are a race. He's racing to kill as many as he can, we're racing to stop him." Gideon says.

There was a murder last night and now JJ, Jessica, and Spencer are talking to the other girls in the dorms and informed them about what happened.

"I spoke to Amy's parents. Funeral services will be held on Sunday in Chicago. They're arriving later today to bring her home." JJ informs. "They asked me to let you know that they will be staying downtown at the Mainline Hotel. If any of you would like to visit or pay your respects, they'd like you to feel free to do so."

"How did you all let this happen?" One of the girls ask. A few other girls give her looks. "What? Everybody is thinking it." She reasons. "You are the FBI. The campus is crawling with police, and she gets murdered waiting for the security shuttle."

"That's not helpful, Katie." The RA says.

"Actually, it is." Spencer counters. "The fact that your friend was killed in such a well lit area with a police presence indicates that the killer is most likely part of this campus. He's not an outsider, he's someone who wouldn't raise alarm with the police or potential victims."

"You should also be aware that the three victims were brunette." Jessica adds.

"What?" The girl next to Katie asks.

"At this point, we do consider it an intentional pattern." Jessica says.

The three agents walk up to Katie and the girl who has been next to her the whole time.

"I'm sorry about before." Katie tells them.

"I'm sorry about your friend." JJ tells her.

"Uh, your RA told us that you guys were at the library last night. Did you see Amy there?" Jessica asks.

"We didn't go with her, but we saw her there. I thought she left before us." The one girl says.

"Her bag wasn't in her cubicle, or else we would have waited." Katie says.

"Did you notice anyone she might have been talking to earlier?" JJ asks. The two girls shake their heads.

"Was it like her to be walking alone, even in a dangerous situation like this?" Spencer asks.
