Chapter 11 The Second Wave

Y/n's POV

We were waiting outside Erhard's shop with just over five minutes to go until the next wave hit. "It's almost that time. Along with the potions, I threw in some weapons I had lying around. They'll make for decent backups." Erhard said.

"Thank you so much." Big sis said. I looked into the wagon, seeing if there were any other weapons I could use before spotting a dagger. I grabbed it and put it on the belt I had for my armor. "Still, I'm pretty impressed that you were able to stock up on as much medicine in so little time." Erhard said, looking at the filled wagon.

"This still might not be enough. There's no way we can tell what's going to happen during the wave." Big brother said. Erhard laughed and smiled. "If you're being that careful, you won't have to worry at all." Erhard said.

"Oh right, hold out your hand, Raphtalia." Big brother said. 

"Oh, alright." Big sis said. Big brother took her arm before slipping a bracelet onto her right wrist. "What's that?" Big sis asked. I looked at Erhard, who was just smiling as he looked at the bracelet. "It's got a spell on it to boost your mana generation." Big brother answered.

"Hell of a present for a lady." Erhard said. Big sis looked down at the bracelet, a little confused. "Boost my mana generation? Will it really? I'm so happy, thank you." Big sis said. Big brother just smiled and nodded as I noticed Filo getting a little upset. "How come she's the only one that gets a present?" Filo asked.

"She isn't. Check this out." Big brother said, putting a hairpin in Filo's bangs. I smiled as he was giving her the gift, happy to see big brother happy again since everything that happened. "It'll make your speed and agility twice what it was." Big brother said.

"It's cute, Filo. Do you like it?" Big sis asked.

"Do I like it! Are you kidding! Thank you, master! Yay!" Filo said, transforming into her filolial form. The hairpin didn't fall off as she transformed. "And a hairpin won't fall off when you transform." Big brother said. 

"What brought on this accessory making spree? Some rich eccentric uncle leave you his fortune or what?" Erhard asked.

"It'll help them boost their stats, that's all. And I've got one more." Big brother said, looking at me. He motioned for me to turn around, which I did before feeling my hair lifted for a second. Something hit my chest as I looked down, seeing a necklace placed around my neck. "This is the last one I made. It'll help with mana generation like Raphtalia's and boost some of your magic power." Big brother explained. I smiled as I looked down at the necklace that had a magic gemstone in it. "Thanks, big brother." I said, turning back to face him. 

"Right...." Erhard said.

"The time has come." The lead knight said. We turned to face them, seeing that there were less than thirty seconds remaining. "Get yourselves together, cause you'll be teleported with us." Big brother explained. 

"Yes, sir!" Ake said. 

"Okay, it's time." Big brother said. We gathered around the wagon as the countdown reached ten seconds. "Here we go." Big sis said.

"Be right back!" Filo cheered. 

"I'll be waiting in the shop. You just come back alive."Erhard said. I heard a grunt from big brother as he nodded before the teleport light engulfed my vision. We were teleported into the middle of the field again before rushing to the closest village, where mobs were already spawning. We had split up into groups to focus on rescuing as many villagers as we could before the mobs hurt them. Big brother rushed forward and saved a couple knights from a lizard man that showed up behind them before shouting for all of us to attack. We each took a second to hit the lizard man before it fell over and died. "What the? They took down a lizard man like it was nothing." A knight asked.
