Chapter 24

A/n: Hey readers! Sorry it took me so long to get this one out. I had planned for it to be out in June, but so many things came up and I just never found the time to get this out. Don't worry, still working on this one though! Hope you enjoy this chapter! We're almost to the end of season 1!

Y/n's POV

After finding the Dragon Hourglass, the four of us swam back to the surface, rushing to the inn and changing into our normal clothes before Big Brother teleported all of us over to the castle in Melromarc. We informed the queen about the hourglass, and she started gathering an army to fight the incoming Wave. Once the queen had gathered her army and the ships needed to fight at sea, we set out, waiting on the ships for us to teleport once the wave started. Queen Mirellia was at the helm, steering the ship with Melty by her side. "I don't know how, but we made it," Queen Mirellia commented, looking at Big Brother.

"I was surprised you managed to put together an army on such short notice." Big Brother commented. 

"It wasn't a big deal. Preparing for the waves is the Royal Family's responsibility." Melty pointed out. Big Brother looked at her, and I saw confusion cross his face. "What are you doing here?" He asked.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Melty asked.

"She's part of our party. Even if we haven't had her around recently." I pointed out.

"Y/n's right. Being a member of your party means I should be fighting with you." Melty commented. Filo stepped closer to her as she tried to cheer Melty up by letting her know that she was happy to see her. "Aw, thanks, Filo. I feel the same." Melty smiled at Filo before Mom asked Big brother whether the people on the islands would make it off the islands in time before the wave happened. "The Earl of Habenberg has already finished evacuating all the islanders. Besides, we have every reason to believe this wave will take place out at sea. Right now, all you need to worry about is the battle." Queen Mirellia answered, looking towards Big Brother and Mom.

"You've got a point, but we don't want to get complacent." Big Brother replied.

"Plus, with the other three heroes not wanting to work together, we're going to have our work cut out for us." I added. Mom looked at me upset for a moment before letting out a sigh as she looked away from me. "Y/n's correct. It seems they think leveling up in Cal Mira was enough." Queen Mirellia commented. I looked over the side of the ship where the other heroes were seeing Motoyasu was on the front edge of his ship. Itsuki was leading his ship and crew near the helm of the ship. Ren was hugging the mast of his ship, clearly still uneasy about being seasick. Big Brother was commenting on how things were about to get ugly again before I heard Mom mention something about L'Arc and Therese. I looked down, seeing the two of them on a ship sailing not too far behind us. "They're fighting the wave too?" Big brother asked.

"You know them?" Melty asked, joining us in looking at L'Arc and Therese.

"They helped us in Cal Mira," Big Brother answered.

"I'm glad they're on our side," Mom commented.

"They're more reliable than the other heroes." Big brother added. Melty commented on how much trust Big Brother was putting in L'Arc and Therese compared to other people. The countdown reached zero in front of my eyes as a loud bell sound rang from around us. "It will begin when we teleport. Everyone! Prepare for battle!" Queen Mirellia called. Each ship was teleported to where the wave was taking place as the sky turned red with swirls filling the sky. Monster fell from the swirls, falling into the water below. The men on the ship started dumping barrels into the water as we continued sailing. After a bunch of barrels were dumped into the water, they started exploding. "What are those?" I asked, looking down at the barrels.
