Morgan
The sun was high in the sky, casting a warm glow over the beach as Morgan stretched out on one of the lounge chairs by the deck. She could hear the soft laughter of the other girls inside, and for the first time in a long while, she felt a small sense of peace. Jeju Island was just what they needed—a break from their messy lives, a reset before facing everything they'd left behind.
As she adjusted her sunglasses, her gaze drifted to the house next door. Yesterday, a group of guys had moved in. She hadn't gotten a good look at them yet, but judging by the noise and energy radiating from their side, they were young and full of life. She found herself curious but quickly pushed the thought away. This was supposed to be their escape, not a social event.
Still, a part of her wondered what it would be like to meet them. They couldn't avoid each other forever, living so close. Maybe they'd have to say hello eventually.
"Hey, Morgan, come inside!" Justice's voice called from the kitchen, breaking Morgan's thoughts.
With a sigh, she stood up and headed in, glancing one last time at the neighboring house. Maybe they'd meet the mystery guys sooner than expected.
Justice
Inside the house, Justice was busy setting up the living room for a movie day. She had dragged out a bunch of blankets and snacks, making the space as cozy as possible. Jeju was beautiful, but after all the traveling, she just wanted a day to unwind and forget everything.
As she fluffed one of the pillows, she noticed Julissa peeking out the window, a curious look on her face.
"Spying on the neighbors already?" Justice teased, tossing a pillow onto the couch.
Julissa laughed, but didn't move away from the window. "I'm not spying. Just... observing. They look kind of interesting."
"Oh, please," Lola called from the kitchen, where she was preparing some snacks. "You know you're dying to meet them."
Justice rolled her eyes but couldn't deny the tinge of curiosity bubbling inside her. They had all noticed the guys next door moving in the day before, but none of them had made any moves to introduce themselves. Still, it was hard not to wonder about them, especially with the lively conversations and occasional laughter that drifted over from their side.
"Maybe we'll run into them on the beach," Justice mused, grabbing a handful of popcorn. "But for now, let's focus on relaxing."
She plopped down onto the couch, ready for their lazy day to begin, but the sound of footsteps outside made her pause.
"Is someone out there?" Morgan asked, her eyes widening as she glanced toward the deck.
Justice frowned, then moved closer to the window, her heart skipping a beat as she caught sight of three guys casually strolling toward their house.
"They're coming over," Julissa said, her voice laced with excitement.
Lola
Lola was wiping her hands on a towel when she heard the commotion from the living room. She had been completely engrossed in making a snack platter, trying to keep herself busy and away from her more dangerous thoughts. Jeju was supposed to be a distraction, but the temptation to let her mind wander back to old habits was stronger than she'd anticipated.
"What's happening?" she asked, stepping into the living room just in time to see three guys approaching their deck, all looking relaxed and smiling.
Justice was practically bouncing in her seat. "The neighbors are coming over! Look!"
