The sun had dipped low on the horizon, casting a warm, golden glow over the island. The house was alive with laughter as the girls and BTS boys lounged in the living room, the conversation light and teasing. The countdown to their return to reality was hanging over their heads, but for now, they were enjoying the moment. Or at least, trying to.
Morgan sat next to Namjoon on the couch, her nerves on edge, though she tried her best to hide it. She'd been carrying Lola's vial with her ever since she found it, unsure of what to do with it. Her heart was pounding every time her hand brushed against the small glass in her pocket, but she told herself she would deal with it soon. Not tonight, she thought. I can't ruin tonight.
Lola, Julissa, and Justice were across the room, talking with Seokjin and Hoseok, while Yoongi leaned against the kitchen counter, watching Justice with a careful eye. The tension from the previous days hadn't fully dissipated—if anything, it was getting heavier. Everyone could feel it, though they were all pretending it wasn't there.
That was until Morgan stood up, shifting her weight awkwardly. She reached into her pocket to adjust something, but in her haste, the vial slipped from her grasp. It hit the floor with a soft clink, rolling a few inches away.
Namjoon's eyes immediately locked onto the small glass bottle, his brow furrowing as he bent down to pick it up. "What's this?" he asked, his voice cutting through the room.
Morgan froze, her heart racing. Everyone turned to look, the once lively atmosphere now thick with tension.
Lola's eyes widened in recognition, and her stomach dropped. She knew instantly what it was—her vial. The one she thought was safely hidden away, now exposed for everyone to see.
"Morgan..." Namjoon's voice was low and cautious as he stood, holding the vial in his hand. "What is this?"
Morgan felt all the eyes on her, but she couldn't look away from Lola. This was it. She had to say something. Now or never.
"It's not mine," Morgan said softly, her voice shaking. She took a breath, gathering her courage before looking directly at Lola. "It's hers."
The room went deadly silent. Lola's eyes widened in shock, her face paling as her secret was exposed in front of everyone.
"Lola?" Hoseok's voice was sharp, cutting through the tension like a knife. "You told me you stopped."
"YOU KNEW." All the girls yelled in unison now eyeing Hoseok
Lola's gaze flicked between Hoseok and Morgan, her heart racing. She felt trapped, like a deer caught in headlights. How could Morgan betray me like this? Her mind spun, looking for an out, but there wasn't one. The truth was out.
"I... I didn't—" Lola stammered, but Hoseok stood up, anger flashing in his eyes.
"You lied to me," Hoseok snapped, his voice rising with fury. "You told me you were doing better. That you were clean."
The girls stared at Lola in disbelief. Julissa's face was a mix of shock and confusion, while Justice's eyes narrowed, piecing things together. They hadn't known, none of them had. And now, the betrayal cut deeper than they could have imagined.
"I thought we were friends," Julissa muttered, her voice filled with hurt. "How could you not tell us?"
Lola's heart pounded in her chest. She felt cornered, her secrets laid bare for everyone to judge. The guilt, the shame—it all bubbled up inside her. And in her panic, she lashed out.
"Oh, I'm the bad guy now?" Lola snapped, her eyes blazing as she glared at the group. "What about Justice, huh? What about the fact that she's been hiding something from all of you? Or do you only care when it's about me?"
Justice's blood ran cold. She had been quietly watching the fallout, thinking she could escape the worst of it, but now Lola had thrown her into the fire. Yoongi stood up straighter, his gaze sharp on Lola.
"Lola, don't—" Yoongi warned, trying to stop what was about to come. But it was too late.
Lola turned to Justice, her expression hard. "Go ahead, tell them. Tell them why you really broke up with my brother."
Justice's heart sank. She felt all the eyes in the room shift to her, and for a moment, she wanted to run. But something in her snapped, and she realized that maybe it was time. Time to stop running from the truth. Time to let it all out.
Justice stood slowly, her eyes locked on Lola. "Fine," she said, her voice trembling, but strong. "I'll tell you."
The room was silent, all attention focused on Justice as she took a deep breath. She hadn't wanted it to come out like this, but there was no going back now.
"I didn't want to break up with him," Justice began, her voice tight with emotion. "But I had to. Because he's the reason I got pregnant. And he's the reason I had the abortion."
Lola's face twisted in confusion and anger. "What are you talking about?" she demanded. "You're lying."
"I'm not lying," Justice said, her voice breaking. "Your brother... he forced himself on me me. That night, I didn't want to... I told him no, but he didn't listen."
The words hung heavy in the air, the weight of them crashing down on everyone. The room went still as Justice's confession echoed in their minds. The horror of what she'd been hiding, of what she'd endured, settled in.
Lola's face contorted with disbelief, her fists clenching at her sides. She shook her head, refusing to accept what she was hearing. "No. No, you're lying," she hissed, stepping toward Justice. "You're just trying to make him look bad. You're trying to make me look bad!"
"Lola, stop—" Yoongi tried again, stepping between them, but Lola was too far gone.
"You're lying!" Lola screamed, her emotions spiraling out of control. And before anyone could stop her, she raised her hand and slapped Justice across the face, the sound ringing through the room like a gunshot.
The shock of the slap left the room frozen in silence.
Justice stood there, her face stinging, tears welling in her eyes, but she didn't flinch. She didn't back down. She just looked at Lola, her heart breaking for the friend she had once known.
Lola, panting, her chest heaving with anger, backed away, her eyes wild with betrayal and disbelief. "I can't do this," she muttered, her voice shaking. "I can't be here right now."
She turned on her heel and stormed out of the house, the door slamming behind her with a deafening crash.
Hoseok watched her go, his own emotions swirling inside him. Anger. Hurt. Betrayal. Without a word, he stood up, grabbed his jacket, and stormed out after her, leaving the others to process the chaos that had just unfolded.
Morgan, Julissa, and Justice stood in stunned silence, their hearts heavy with the weight of everything that had just been said. The room felt suffocating, the air thick with tension and unspoken words.
Namjoon glanced at Yoongi, his face a mix of shock and sympathy. He could see how much this was affecting him, how deeply Yoongi had been drawn into Justice's world. And now, everything was crumbling.
"Yoongi..." Namjoon started, but Yoongi shook his head, his jaw clenched.
"Not now," Yoongi muttered, running a hand through his hair. He didn't know how to fix this. He didn't know if he could.
The tension in the room was at its peak, and none of them knew what would come next.
But one thing was clear—nothing would be the same after tonight.
