Jungkook's POV:It all started as just another day at the company. Being an idol meant my life was often a whirlwind of rehearsals, recordings, and interviews. The faces I saw were the same ones I'd seen a thousand times—familiar, predictable. But then there was her—Siniz. A new manager brought on board for BTS. At first, she didn't stand out much. There were countless staff members handling everything from our schedules to our food. I wasn't someone who paid too much attention to people outside of my bubble, but she... was different.
I noticed her not because she tried to get my attention, but because she didn't.
She was quiet, professional, focused—always in the background but never in the way. And unlike many others who sought opportunities to talk to us, she barely even looked in my direction unless it was for something strictly work-related. I caught her gaze a few times, but the moment we made eye contact, she would look away as if I didn't exist. At first, I thought it was indifference. Maybe she wasn't a fan. Maybe she didn't care about BTS or the whole celebrity aura surrounding me.
But the more she avoided me, the more I found myself curious.
What was it about her that made her act so distant? Most people either tried too hard to impress us or get close, but she seemed like she wanted nothing to do with me.
**Why?** It didn't make sense. One day, after a long meeting , I caught her ,She was about to leave but I stepped towards her and tapped her shoulder lightly.
"Miss.Siniz, Can I talk to you for a minute?"I said, hoping to break the ice.
She turned, eyes wide in surprise just for a second , as if shocked that I even knew her name. But after some time she turned into her professionalism to keep her expression neutral "is something wrong?"
Straight to the point. No flattery, no unnecessary conversation.
I shrugged, trying to act casual. "No, I just... I wanted to ask you something."
"Go ahead " she said coldly
" I've noticed that... you don't talk to me much. Not like you talk to the others." I hesitantly said.
For a second, there was a flicker of something in her eyes—nervousness, maybe?—but she quickly masked it. "I-well, I try to stay professional with everyone," she said quickly. "It's part of my job."
Her response was polite but distant
"Is it really just that? "Why do I feel that something is off... specially with me?" I blurted out before I could stop myself. I didn't know why I said that. It wasn't like me to pry, but I had to know.
She paused for a second, and I could see the wheels turning in her head. Her hesitation was brief, before she could respond A stuff interpreted..
I had to go without knowing her answer
" I'll see you later " I smiled at her and left.I even tried to talk to her at the concert but she continuously avoided me.
There was something different in the way she interacted with the other members and staff compared to me. She was friendly with Jimin, laughed at Taehyung's jokes, but when it came to me, she was distant, almost guarded. And that intrigued me even more.
As the days went by, I started watching her closely—not in a creepy way, but just enough to notice the small things. The way she seemed to tense up whenever I was near, how she'd find excuses to walk the other way when I entered a room. There was something there, something she wasn't telling me.
One evening after a late rehearsal, I saw her sitting alone in the break room. She was scrolling through her phone, unaware of my presence. I thought about leaving her alone, but my curiosity got the better of me.
"Mind if I join?" I asked, sliding into the seat across from her.
She looked up, startled, and for a split second, I thought I saw a flash of something—was it panic? No, it was more complex than that.
"Of course, Jungkook-ssi. It's your room, after all," she said with a cold face.
We sat in awkward silence for a moment. She wasn't like anyone I had met before. She didn't fawn over me or treat me like some untouchable idol. Instead, she was treating me like... just a guy. And that was refreshing, even though I wasn't used to it.
"So," I said, breaking the silence, "why do you avoid me?"
Her face stiffened, but she kept her cool. "I don't avoid you."
"You do," I insisted, my eyes narrowing as I leaned forward slightly. "You're doing it right now."
There it was again—just for a moment—a flicker of emotion. This time it was guilt. She shifted uncomfortably in her seat, eyes darting to the door as if planning her escape.
"I'm not avoiding you, Jungkook-ssi," she repeated, but her voice had lost its earlier firmness. "It's just... I have boundaries."
Something in her tone told me there was more to the story, but I decided not to push her further. Yet, the more she tried to put up walls, the more I wanted to tear them down. It wasn't just about getting her attention anymore—it was about understanding her, about knowing why she was so determined to keep her distance.
That night, as I lay in bed, I thought about Siniz again. There was something in her eyes, the way she held herself, that made me feel like she was hiding something. Something deep, maybe even painful. And that mystery... it was like a puzzle I needed to solve.
What was it that made her so distant? Why did she always look like she was holding back something?
I didn't have the answers, but I knew one thing for sure: I wasn't going to stop until I figured it out. Siniz had caught my attention, and now... I couldn't look away.
