It was a Friday evening, and the cozy apartment that Siniz and Shanaya shared was buzzing with the energy of a double date. Jimin and Jungkook had come over for a relaxed movie night, a rare evening where their packed schedules allowed them to unwind.
The living room was already set up: snacks piled on the coffee table, a blanket draped across the couch, and the lights dimmed to give the perfect movie atmosphere. But the most important decision of the night had yet to be made—choosing the movie.
Siniz, sitting cross-legged on the couch beside Jungkook, was scrolling through the streaming service with the remote in hand. "Okay, so what do we want to watch?" she asked, her eyes scanning the endless list of options.
Shanaya, seated beside Jimin on the other end of the couch, leaned forward excitedly. "How about a rom-com? Something light and fun!"
Jungkook immediately made a face, groaning. "A rom-com? No way. I'm in the mood for some action. Something with explosions. Lots of explosions."
Jimin grinned, nudging Shanaya gently. "Sorry, babe, I'm with Jungkook on this one. We've had a long week. We need something intense."
Shanaya crossed her arms, narrowing her eyes at Jimin. "Of course you'd say that. It's always action with you boys. What's wrong with a cute love story?"
Jungkook, sensing the tension, smirked. "Come on, Siniz, back me up here. You're not seriously in the mood for a rom-com, are you?"
Siniz paused, pretending to think. "Actually, I am." She turned and shot him a teasing smile. "I mean, we can do action... if you really want to. But rom-coms are fun."
Jungkook's eyes widened as if she had betrayed him. "Wait, what? You're on *their* side?"
Siniz shrugged, holding back a laugh. "What can I say? I like love stories."
The room quickly descended into playful chaos. Shanaya and Siniz, now fully united, were defending their choice of a romantic comedy while Jungkook and Jimin were doing their best to argue for an action-packed thriller.
"I'm not watching another movie where a car chase lasts 20 minutes and half the city blows up for no reason!" Shanaya declared dramatically.
"And I'm not sitting through another movie where people meet in a coffee shop, bump into each other, and fall in love within five minutes!" Jimin shot back, equally exaggerated.
Siniz couldn't help but laugh at how serious they were getting. "Okay, okay, how about a compromise? We'll pick a rom-com with some action."
Jungkook folded his arms, pouting slightly. "Is that even a thing?"
"It totally is," Shanaya replied confidently, scrolling through the options again. "Here, what about this? A spy falls in love with the person they're sent to take down. Romance and action."
Jimin looked at the description, raising an eyebrow. "Hmm. Okay, fine, that sounds decent. But if it turns into too much romance, we're switching."
Jungkook, still pretending to sulk, leaned back against the couch. "I'm not convinced."
Seeing him pout like a child, Siniz rolled her eyes with a smile. She leaned closer and nudged him playfully. "Come on, stop being a baby. You'll survive two hours of love and espionage."
Jungkook huffed dramatically. "Fine. But if there are more than two kissing scenes, I'm calling it quits."
"You act like you don't love those moments," Siniz teased, nudging him again. "I've seen you melt during the romantic scenes. Don't even lie."
Jungkook turned to her, narrowing his eyes in mock suspicion. "Oh, is that so?"
"It is," she confirmed, grinning.
Meanwhile, Shanaya was having a similar conversation with Jimin, who was still grumbling under his breath. "You know, you're going to love this movie," Shanaya said confidently, pulling the blanket over them.
"Uh-huh, we'll see," Jimin muttered, though his lips were twitching into a smile.
As the movie finally began, the couples settled in, the tension from earlier fading into comfortable closeness. Shanaya rested her head on Jimin's shoulder while Siniz and Jungkook leaned into each other. The bickering from earlier felt distant now as the movie played on.
But, true to form, about halfway through the movie, when the romantic plot began to unfold, the boys started squirming again.
"Oh, come on," Jimin groaned, his voice barely a whisper. "They're having a candlelit dinner in the middle of a mission? Really?"
Shanaya shushed him, laughing softly. "Just enjoy it, okay? It's cute."
Jungkook, though silent, was equally as restless. Siniz noticed and whispered in his ear. "You promised you'd give it a chance."
Jungkook glanced at her, his pout softening. "Yeah, but..."
Siniz smiled, tilting her head. "But what?"
He sighed, defeated. "Okay, fine. I'll give it a chance... because you like it."
Siniz felt a warmth spread through her chest at his words. She leaned closer, pressing a quick kiss to his cheek. "Thank you."
Jungkook's mock annoyance disappeared immediately, a grin taking over his face. "You're lucky you're cute."
Across the room, Shanaya was having a similar moment with Jimin. "You can't even pretend you're not enjoying this," she whispered, poking him in the ribs.
Jimin chuckled softly. "Okay, okay. Maybe it's not so bad."
The rest of the movie passed peacefully, with the boys settling into the story more than they had expected. By the time the credits rolled, the playful bickering had turned into soft smiles and comfortable silence.
"See?" Siniz said, stretching as she stood up. "That wasn't so bad, was it?"
Jungkook gave a dramatic sigh, though there was a smile on his face. "I'll admit... it was decent."
Jimin nodded, smiling down at Shanaya. "Yeah, I'll give you that. It was good."
Shanaya grinned triumphantly. "Knew it!"
As the night wound down, the couples settled back onto the couch, the earlier playful fight long forgotten. The warmth of being together filled the room, and the cozy apartment felt like the perfect place to be.
Jungkook glanced at Siniz, his hand gently brushing hers. "Next time, we're watching something with *real* action."
Siniz laughed softly, intertwining her fingers with his. "Fine. Next time, you pick."
"And no more candlelit dinners during missions," Jimin added, grinning at Shanaya.
Shanaya rolled her eyes but smiled, leaning her head on his shoulder. "Deal."
As the night came to a close, the four of them relaxed into the comfort of their shared laughter, teasing, and affection, the earlier disagreements only making the night sweeter.
