Jungkook stepped out of the sleek black car, greeted by the glowing lights of New York City. It was his first interview in the Big Apple, and excitement buzzed around him, but it was more than just the interview that had his mind racing. As they made their way into the hotel, Siniz walked beside him, her calm presence grounding him in the midst of all the glamour. Hyun-tea, his personal assistant, followed closely, attending to the last-minute details.

"How are you feeling?" Siniz asked, her voice soft as they entered the VIP section of the hotel.

Jungkook offered her a smile. "A little nervous but excited. This is a big one."

Siniz nodded, understanding in her eyes. "You'll do great, as always."

The interview went smoothly, with Jungkook impressing the host and charming the audience with his usual charisma. By the time they returned to the hotel, it was late, but Jungkook wasn't ready to call it a night. There was something about New York City that made him restless, like it was alive even in the darkest hours.

He knocked on Siniz's door later that evening, a playful grin spreading across his face as she opened it, slightly surprised. "Wanna sneak out for a bit?"

She blinked, then chuckled. "Are you serious? We're in New York and you want to sneak out like kids?"

"Why not?" he shrugged. "Let's grab some dessert or something. No one will notice."

Siniz rolled her eyes but smiled, and within minutes, they were both out of the hotel, walking the streets of New York, the cool night air nipping at their skin. They found a small cafe tucked away on a quiet corner, its lights glowing warmly. They ordered coffee and a few pastries, settling into a cozy booth by the window.

The conversation flowed easily, as it always did with them. They talked about everything, from work to their dreams to the little moments they never shared with anyone else. Siniz laughed at one of his stories, and the sound made Jungkook's chest tighten unexpectedly. He glanced at her, really looking at her, and something clicked.

He had always been comfortable with her, their friendship built on mutual respect and understanding. But now, sitting across from her in the dimly lit cafe, watching the way her eyes sparkled when she smiled, Jungkook realized something that shook him to his core—he was falling for her.

He couldn't stop the wave of emotions crashing over him as she absentmindedly sipped her coffee. It wasn't just the way she looked tonight, although she was stunning in the most natural way. It was the way she always knew how to calm him, how she understood him without words, and how she always seemed to be there, steady and supportive, without asking for anything in return.

"You're quiet," Siniz said, breaking him out of his thoughts. "Something on your mind?"

Jungkook blinked, shaking his head slightly. "Just...thinking," he replied, trying to play it cool.

"About?" she pressed, raising an eyebrow.

He hesitated for a moment, then smiled. "About how lucky I am to have you as a friend."

Siniz laughed lightly, brushing off his words as a casual compliment. "Well, that's what friends are for, right?"

Jungkook nodded, but deep down, he knew it was more than that. He wanted to say something, to tell her that his feelings were shifting, but the words got stuck in his throat. It wasn't the right time—not yet.

Instead, they continued their light conversation, the comfort of their friendship still strong, even as Jungkook's heart silently began to race with a new realization. They finished their desserts, laughing about random topics, but the night felt different to Jungkook now. The city lights, the quiet buzz of the streets, and the warm glow of the cafe all seemed to blur in the background as he focused on the girl in front of him.

As they made their way back to the hotel, Jungkook walked closer to Siniz, his hand brushing hers lightly. She didn't seem to notice, but for him, that brief touch sent a jolt through his body.

They stood in front of her hotel room door, and she smiled up at him. "Thanks for tonight. It was fun."

"Yeah, it was," Jungkook said, his voice softer than usual. He wanted to say more, to tell her how much she meant to him, but instead, he just watched as she slipped into her room with a final smile.

As Jungkook returned to his own room, he couldn't stop thinking about her. He lay awake, staring at the ceiling, replaying the night in his head. Something had changed between them, at least for him. He didn't know how or when he would tell her, but one thing was clear—Siniz wasn't just a friend to him anymore.

She was becoming something much more.
