Kate's pov:
- Robbie!

Blake is in a panicky state of mind and I know exactly where he is headed. It goes without saying that I'm not letting him go out there on his own. Thing is, I can't follow him before I know that both Ivy and Damian are safe. Safe as in being kept an eye on constantly if what we think is going on, actually is going on. They are both my first priority. They have to be safe before I can focus on Blake.

- Kate, what is going on? I see people coming to the hospital covered in blood and stuff...

Robbie asks me. The news about the guard bursting through the door of Blake's office spreads around fast. Outside our guards are dropping like flies and people are learning that too. What's even more intimidating, is that many of them are tall and strong wolves. They wouldn't lose just any fight.

- The guards are under attacked in the woods. Blake...he knows who the person out there is and if he's right about it, I need Ivy and Damian to be safe. I need you to keep an eye on them. Take them to Alec's room and stay with all three of them...

Robbie doesn't say much because I assume he can see I'm both desperate and scared...well, the entire specter of the horror and fear is covering my face as well as I stand there in front of Robbie. I don't even know where Blake went. I'm only assuming that he left for the woods. He ran out before I even had a chance to ask him.

Robbie doesn't ask more questions and gets the kids as I make my way towards the main-entrance. Blake, where are you? I sense my heart beating at the speed of lightening or faster as I keep turning my head from side to side to try and spot him. Kate, I need you to stay out of it! Stay at the mansion. You're a lot safer there.

How does he dare to think that I'm just gonna stay here while he gets himself in trouble? I'm not gonna go back inside this mansion until Blake is walking right next to me. Kate, I sense someone...a very dark wolf in the woods. Blake is right about his father. He's out there and we're no match for him. Great, even my own wolf is scared. That doesn't really do me much good because I'm just as scared if not more. Especially because Blake isn't answering me.

Blake, you better answer me when I call for you! Where are you? I'm not gonna let you go out there on your own. My wolf senses danger... I let out through the link as I look around me to see bloody guards desperately crawling out of the woods as if they've just come back from hell. I run towards one of them, he even reaches for me with his hand trembling...

- L-Luna...get back to the house. He-He'll kill you if...if he gets the chance...

His hand drops to the ground right after. I check his pulse and I know that he has taken his last breath. I swallow extra hard as I close his eyes and keep my eyes open towards the bushes. I see this uncomfortable, cool breeze in the air that causes movement among the trees. The entire scene of this is unlike anything I've ever experienced.

- Alright, wolf, we're going in there, you and I...whether you like it or not...

I know she wants to protest, in fact, she is, but I shut her down. In the end, I'm the one calling the shots regarding what I choose to expose myself to. I'm going to find my mate, no matter how uncomfortable and dangerous the setting is.

- Luna!

I turn my head to see the third in command, Brad, run towards me all covered in blood.

- Brad! What is going on? Have you seen Blake?

He shakes his head.

- I was fighting for my life before I heard Blake call me back to the mansion by Alpha-command. I was obligated to follow his orders. He told me to bring everybody who was still alive back inside.
