e Suis Une Amie
olivia ran her cold fingers up and down aria's back, it was the first thing she did when she woke up, still droozy from being asleep. "your hands are cold," aria whispered, her voice slightly muffled in olivia's hair as she took in the lavender scent.
"and you're warm," olivia whispered, her breath on aria's collarbone as she kept her eyes shut. she didn't want to open them out of fear of having to get out of bed, she was still too tired for that.
aria smiled, placing a kiss on top of the mess of curls on olivia's head, "i want french toast," she raised her right hand, bringing it to her face and slowly rubbing the sleep from her eyes. she would go back to sleep if she could but that was one thing she and olivia didn't have in common.
"i'll have to go buy eggs," olivia mumbled, hoping that would get aria to change her mind but the raven haired girl just shrugged, "please, livvy jane." she placed another kiss on olivia's head, knowing the other girl wouldn't fight her on it for too long.
"i'll walk to the store," olivia yawned, starting to sit up as she looked down at aria who shifted to lay on her back. "you know, you're a real sweetheart," aria smiled, wrapping her arms around her body. she was weaaring one of olivia's t-shirts, her hair falling over her chest as she played with the ends of the redhead's curls.
"a sweetheart with a black eye," olivia muttered, unable to keep her smile from her lips and her voice as she reached down to pick up her sweater from the carpeted floor. aria pulled her hand away, her fingers brushing olivia's pale, freckly skin one last time before she pulled the sweater over her head. she fixed her hair, barely, her curls still somewhat static from the material of the sweater.
"it goes with the remus lupin thing you have going on," aria placed her index finger between her teeth, watching as her girlfriend turned to face her. "what remus lupin thing?" the girl's brows were furrowed when she spoke, coming in closer to place a kiss on aria's forehead.
"shut up," aria spoke softly as her words tickled olivia's neck before the other girl pulled away. she placed a quick, open mouthed kiss to aria's lips, caressing her cheek. "stay here, okay?" olivia asks, voice barely above a sigh or a whisper, so soft that if a bird made a sound then aria would have missed it all together. "i'll be waiting for you," aria didn't even think she would have to clarify that but she found it sweet that olivia wanted her to be there when she got back.
the younger of the two girls got off the bed, pulling on her shoes as she made her way out of her bedroom. she grabbed one of wes' caps that sat on the coffee table before she walked over to her brother's room. she didn't knock, she never knocked. "hey," she spoke, seeing him still in bed with a sleep mask over his eyes.
he didn't say a word, instead humming as she spoke again, "do we still have some cash?" she asked as he pointed to his bedside table. olivia followed his finger, sliding open the drawer when she's met with a blunt, which she takes. "i need money for eggs," she told him, turning to look at him as he groaned, sliding the mask off his face.
"we used the last of it to pay for the waterbill since you wanna shower so badly," he looked slightly annoyed, maybe from having been woken up or maybe because of their lack of funds. "sorry for wanting to be clean," she muttered back, wiping her eyes with the back of her hands as wes covered his eyes again.
"now you're clean and the only food we have is bread," he spoke, unaware of the way his sister's face falls, like a deck of cards. she couldn't ask ezra for money, she only took his money when he gave it to her, somehow asking felt different. "didn't mom send you anything?" she asked, starting to chew on the nail of her index finger.
"she sent money for rent," wes answered, after their mother had cut olivia off, wes followed. the only money they got from her was for the roof over their heads and even that was too much for them. "we need money to live, wes." olivia was preeching to the choir. wes was the one out of the two of them who had a job, not a great one but one that made sure they could eat, shower and have electricity.
olivia thought of asking her mom for money, for a split second before she threw herself onto her brother's bed. "what are we gonna do?" wes shifted when she spoke, making more room for her. "you know what to do," he told her, rolling over with the hopes of going back to sleep.
"no," olivia shook her head. "if you want your girlfriend to have breakfast," wes retorted as he felt the girl shift in bed next to him, it was obvious she didn't want to do it but after a few minutes of thinking, she finally got up. "do you want anything?" she asked, tapping her foot on his butt as he shook his head, face now in the pillow.
"thank god," olivia was out of the apartment in under a minute, walking to the store down the street to get eggs. she grabbed a bottle of milk first before making her way to where the eggs were, only taking a few.
with the carton of milk in her hands, she made her way to the register. the worker scanned it, giving her the price as she looked through the pockets of her short, faking confusion as she looked up at him. she had an embarrassed smile on her face as she spoke, "i think i forgot my card at home," she brushed her hair behind the cap as she moved away from him, "i'll go get it." she told him, watching as he moved the milk to the side for her to come get later but as olivia left the store, she knew she wouldn't come back because she already had four eggs in her shirt.
"i feel shit," olivia mumbled when she got home as saw wes having toast, his hair just as messy as hers while she removed the eggs from her shirt, along with a candy bar which she didn't need but wanted. "you'll live, walmart will live." he mumbled, taking the candy as she slapped his hand away, "that's for aria." she took it back, rolling her eyes as he sighed before grabbing the eggs.
"i'll start with her breakfast then since i work here," he watched as she nodded, pleased with his statement before she made her way to her bedroom. she took his cap off on the way, tossing it to the side before walking into her room.
olivia slowly pushed the door open, making her way through the door and to her bed, "hey you," she whispered, sitting down on her bed and looking down at aria. she was laying on her back, a book in her right hand as she closes it to look up at olivia. "someone took forever," aria mumbled as olivia reached her hand out, brushing the girl's hair out of her face and placing a kiss on her cheek. it was as soft as a butterfly flapping it's wings. "i'm sorry," she placed another kiss on her lips as she handed her the candy bar.
"wes is making your breakfast." she added shortly after as aria's eyes flutter open, "he better not try to poison me again," she whispered, olivia's lips still hovering over hers as the redhead smiled sweetly, "he learnt his lesson," she rested her head on aria's shoulder, "he'll call us when it's ready," she whispered, wrapping her right arm around aria who hummed in agreement. "don't fall asleep again," aria warned but it was already too late because olivia's eyes had fluttered shut and she was seconds away from sleep.
