olivia was blinded when her bedroom door opened and aria walked in, it was the first time she had seen light in the past three hours because she was just laying in bed, smoking weed and eating rice krispies treats by herself.

"close the door." she used her hand to block the light, "and open a window, it smells vile in here." aria jumped onto the girl's bed, sitting on her knees in front of the window when she opened it.

"this is nature at its finest." although olivia couldn't complain about the fresh air, she was getting higher the longer she breathed in the smoke.

"we have to talk about something, something serious."

"sirius black?" olivia could barely keep her eyes open as she stuck her head out of the window. she knew when she needed to sober up and that was now.

the only thing she could think about that could be considered important is helping emily's girlfriend, maya, sneak out of her room in an hour so the two can have a final goodbye before maya leaves for juvie camp.

"it's about noel kahn."

"ew." olivia's retort is immediate. "he knows." now that's ominous as shit. "that i sometimes use a brownie mix instead of making them from scratch? fuck, is he gonna tell everyone?" olivia ran her hand over her face as she spoke, aria seemed less than impressed but she gave olivia a small smile, to help ease into the news she was about to give.

"about what happened between me and ezra." it was like olivia immediately got sober, not really, but that's what it felt like. "what about you and ezra?" she had to play dumb, maybe it wasn't what she thought.

"you know, you knew about it." aria's words weren't entirely straight forward but it brought olivia back to the suspicion she had regarding the two. but that wasn't real, she told herself it wasn't real.

"you and ezra?" she had to get up, pace around her room a little because she was still very high.

"i thought you knew." aria followed her lead, ezra had told aria that olivia was suspicious but what they didn't know was that olivia gave up that suspicion, she convinced herself it was a lie and now she was faced with the truth.

"you and my brother?" olivia asked, walking out of her bedroom with aria on her heels. "are you mad?" she asked as she watched olivia grab a bottle of water, starting to drink it as she tried to sober up for real.

"yes, i am mad." olivia was always an excellent communicator, even when she was a little girl. she liked having her thoughts and her feelings out in the world.

"it happened before you and i got together, by then i didn't even care about him anymore." aria's words were barely cold when she saw the confusion twisting on olivia's face.

she shook her head, "im not angry at you for doing whatever you did with my brother," she stated bluntly, "im angry that you didn't tell me that i share an apartment with a fucking pedophile." olivia didn't yell, it wasn't polite to yell if you weren't joking.

"pedophile is a strong word."

"can you be quiet for a second, please?" aria did what olivia asked as the red head grabbed a container of brownies from the fridge, starting to eat them in silence.

aria didn't know what she was supposed to do know, did olivia hate her? how could she fix this? she needed to fix this.

"what are you doing?" she asked, desperate to get into olivia's mind but right now, not even olivia wanted to be in there.

"im thinking." olivia answered honestly.

"can you think out loud?" aria would rather know that olivia is angry at her, know how to fix it then know nothing at all.

"no, babe, because that's talking." and then olivia slid the container across the table, letting aria get a brownie, maybe that was a good sign.

"i talked to ezra about it." if olivia wasn't angry, then aria could keep talking about it. "well, if you and my brother talked about it." olivia was so dry that it left aria feeling cold, olivia was never like that with her but aria had never lied to olivia before.

"it's not like that."

"like what? he isn't a grown man who did god knows what with a sixteen year old girl." olivia pulled out her phone, going through her contacts.

"what are you doing?" aria wanted to see but olivia was already calling someone, "calling wes, give me a second." she left the room and she was gone for two minutes. when she came back, she had a bag.

"im going to stay with wes but ill grab the ladder and help you get your friend out of her tower." and then she walked out of the apartment, leaving aria standing there like an idiot.

when aria eventually caught up to her, olivia held the car door open for her. it was like olivia was giving her mixed signals but olivia knew what she was doing, she knew being angry at someone doesn't give you the right to treat them like shit so she avoided hurting aria by not saying anything at all.

"can you talk to me?" aria placed her hand on olivia's when she got into the car, the girl pulled away like aria had hurt her. "there's nothing to talk about, just give me some time please." aria nodded and they drove in silence.

olivia was at the bottom of the ladder when maya came down, holding her hand out to the girl to help her to the ground. "thank you."

"anytime." and then they packed up the ladder and put it back in olivia's car. she was basically the getaway driver for this mission. "so, juvie camp." that was what olivia said when they got back into the car, looking back at maya.

"my parents did not agree with me smoking weed, i guess." olivia couldn't help but laugh, making maya very confused.

"im high right now." and then she started the car, "you're high?" maya sat forward in her seat, "lightly buzzed." olivia understood why maya was reacting that way. if she was in a car and the person that was driving was high, she would walk home.

"i can walk in a straight line for you," she looks back at the girl who sits back into her seat. "no, it's fine." and then the car starts and olivia gets them to spencer's house safely, no one has a scratch on them.

"ill walk you to the door." olivia offered, getting out of her car first as she opened the doors for the girls before she walks ahead of them to get to the front door where aria's friends were waiting.

"we have pizza, you coming in?" hanna was the first one to talk to olivia, the girl shook her head. "i have to go home but call me of i have to take maya back."

"that's stupid, you can just stay and you won't have to drive back and forth." like always, spencer was right but olivia wouldn't tell her that.

olivia could have easily stayed, she and aria could talk through their troubles and maybe everything would work out for the better but olivia had to be alone with her thoughts for a while.

"im tired, and i know they're not just gonna have a five second talk so im gonna take a nap but that's a nice offer." olivia looked from spencer to aria, giving the girl a side hug, her arm barely going around the girl's waist.

"have fun," she kissed aria's cheek and she was gone before aria could say anything.
