olivia ran her hands over her face when she felt her phone go off in her pocket, it was aria. she answered the call as she tossed the papers on the kitchen table, "hey pretty." was the first thing she said as she picked up the glass of water.
"im outside, come quick." aria's voice sounded urgent and olivia was out of the door, when she got down, she hung up. she climbed into the back of aria's car, nearly throwing herself on the seat. she could use a good escape from her apartment and bills. being grown up was strangely very hard.
she could barely get comfortable when aria started the car, "where are we going?" she looked from hanna to aria, placing a quick peck on the dark haired girl's face.
"following my dad," aria looked in the rearview mirror, catching sight of olivia trying to fix her messy red hair. "so we're like the totally spies right now?" olivia leaned forward, resting her cheek against aria's seat.
"im the hot blonde," hanna mumbled to herself as they watched aria's dad's car park in front of the school. he smiles as he gets out, walking into the school.
"why is my dad walking into the school?" aria asked as olivia checked her watch, "at eight pm too, insane." she furrowed her brows as she watched him. why was she watching him? she wasn't sure but if it's what aria wanted to do, then olivia was gonna do it with her.
"okay weird," aria whispered as hanna turned to them, "not really. he's probably just going to see aria's mom." she watched the way olivia picked up the pack of gummies between her and aria as she started chewing two at a time.
"they're probably doing it." olivia shrugged, aria groaning from beside her. "that's not happening and ew."
"people lie, aria." hanna started, "like what." she added as olivia shoved two more gummies in her mouth before reaching her hand out and rubbing the back of aria's hand. "well, what are they doing?" aria paused, "and don't say they're doing it." she loooked over at olivia.
"you should call your mother," hanna turned to face aria as the red head reached past hanna to open the glove compartment. she took out the ginger biscuits as she started eating one. "what?" aria asked, barely noticing how much olivia had been eating.
"call her and ask her where she is," olivia stated as if it was obvious, leaning back into aria.
aria dialed her mother's number and put it on speaker, "hi aria, i was just thinking about you. is everything okay?" her mother answered within seconds.
"yeah, why wouldn't it be okay?" aria asked, watching as olivia chewed on one of the cookies, her eyes not leaving aria. "well, i didn't mean to suggest that everything wasn't okay." ella spoke up as olivia's brows furrowed, she sounded off. "i was just checking, wondering, like moms do." now olivia didn't mean to laugh, she really didn't but she couldn't stop it.
"hey there, liv." ella spoke as aria glared at her girlfriend who removed the cookie from her mouth, "hey mrs. monty." as she spoke, aria wiped the cookie crumbs off her face.
"are you having dinner with aria because it's getting pretty late," ella was always worried about where olivia was going to eat and when she was going to eat. she always gave the red head a little snack when she was at their house.
"ill have dinner at home so im leaving soon," olivia didn't like lying but that wasn't really a lie, she just happened to not bring up that she was sitting outside of the school with hanna and aria.
"listen, mom, where are you?" aria spoke up, licking her thumb to get rid of the new crumbs on olivia's face, she ate like a child.
"home. where are you?" ella asked and olivia looked at aria with suspesion on her face. "home." aria asnwered quickly. "okay, so everything's okay then?" ella asked and this time olivia answered, "all's good over here. we're having cookies," she smiled to herself like a child.
